I have this issue, my CPU fan revs up to max in certain situations all of a sudden, it didn`t do this before...

In games like Hitman, TW3 it happens, but in Titanfall 2, Skyrim f.ex it stays completely quiet..

Maybe it`s because the two first are CPU heavy? That would make sense, but it never used to do that before, it just started one day after i changed my GPU (And yes, i`ve checked, it`s not the GPU thats making noise, it`s pretty smooth and low db)

Any clues as to what is triggering this CPU fan maxing? Speedfan and the like`s won`t do shit for some reason about this issue even though they work as they should otherwise. My rig never crashes and things run fine, CPU fan aside Confused

Also happens when maxing a download from steam,bt etc (12.7mbs).

Phoenix 1060 GTX GS
Win10 Home (Whatever todays version is)

What CPU cooler do you use?

When did you last clean your case, cooler or reapply thermal paste?

Also use HWinfo to check on tems/workloads etc.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Change compound, make sure you don't have a Bitcoin miner if it's doing it when idle
