maybe the people who like his songs are 50 year olds from eastern germany, but in the civilized

Nah I'm not from Germany, I was born in Austria, now I live on Planet Hasselhoff. (  ) To be honest, I grew up with David Hasselhoff, I was already singing "Looking for Freedom" at the age of 3 and had a little collection of videos with his songs, which I watched over and over. It was the most fascinating thing ever! And of course - because of Knight Rider. I never missed one episode, but primarily not because of Hasselhoff, but because of the car crashes (I still have a VHS with 500 minutes of Knight Rider car crashes) I loved the series but it did not manipulate me as strong as the A-Team, which is a totally different story; around the age of 7 I really believed that I WAS Murdock. Back to the Hoff: You asked me if I like his songs - answer is no, most of them are awful for me now. The only ones that are o.k. imo are Looking For Freedom and Gipsy Girl. But still, Hasselhoff is cult. Hasselhoff defined me. Hasselhoff was a part of my early life.
Nowadays, there's not much of admiration left, I just keep joking and laughing about him, his parts in Spongebob and Eurotrip were hilarious - he's just like Chuck Norris, except that he gets pwnd by Alcohol and his tears can't cure cancer. 
PS: I never liked Baywatch!

lol. I like David. Knight Rider was one of my favourite programs when i was little younger and i still sometimes watch them. I wish that he would stop singing in public places or near cameras because he isnt very good singer... but david rocks
