The EU sees that different though. Not that it changes anything for us at this moment.

Me too - I've yet to play C&C 4 which looks so terrible I haven't been able to make myself go through it yet.

Don't. I played through it and it's absolute garbage. Like they mention in the video posted above, CNC4 was just a "let's recover what we started over here and name it CNC 4 and hope we get away with it".

They didn't Smile

Yeah looks pretty interesting, likely a bit too ambitious for an EA project.

Same! Renegade was awesome! I think the problem was the campaign, it started off with a bang and then turned into generic crap. But MP was sweet!

+1 to the multiplayer part. Very Happy

Played it on a regular base back then.

Same for the later standalone fanmod Renegade X.

Fellow Command & Conquer fans,

My name is Jim Vessella, and I’m a Producer at Electronic Arts. Ten years ago I had the pleasure of being on the production team for Command & Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3, along with being the Lead Producer on Kane’s Wrath. During those years, some of my favorite moments were interacting with our passionate community, whether at our onsite Community Summits, on the forums, or while attending various events such as Gamescom.

As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game set in the Command & Conquer universe. Following the reveal of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC. And as a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I couldn’t agree more. With that in mind we’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.

We are eager to hear your feedback to help influence our current thoughts for PC and what comes next. Over the next few weeks we’ll be talking to fans in a variety of ways. In the meantime, please share your thoughts here on the OpenRA forums.

As a long time C&C fan and developer, I am just as passionate about the C&C franchise as you are, and look forward to hearing your thoughts as they help us shape the future of C&C at EA!

Thanks!
Jim Vessella

*Sigh* I bought the Ultimate Collection months ago (less than 5€ key) and on W7 the movies and even main menu shows very wrong colors.. Wasn't there a site that did something like "1 click fixes everything" programs to fix these disasters from this collection?

Though I only tested the CC95 one from the collection, i can imagine it might happen with the rest too..

It's common problem with DirectDraw games. Try killing explorer.exe and then running the game (it worked for Starcraft 1 before they fixed it in the remasted version). If not, there are various ddraw.dll replacements/proxies, look for one.

Now, in EA’s latest earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson confirms that the remasters are indeed happening, at least that something is happening on the PC side. He says that, as well as mobile title Rivals, the Command & Conquer team “are working to deliver content for the franchise’s PC core.”

Probably most of you know already that it's back:

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/39394/Command__Conquer_The_Ultimate_Collection/

Did anyone try these? Can you play these with higher resolution without breaking steam integration/overlay?

Edit: Afaik it doesnt launch EAPlay nor Origin. It's just steam.

better off looking on drm free sites , i dont think they have much compatibility or gfx tweaks. and if u want to play them on original hardware, ur fucked cause steam only works on win10 and the steam game will want steam loaded in background before u can run its exe file
