Based on the book by Philipp Meyer The Son is a multi-generational epic tale of the story of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise and fall of one Texas family.
Brosnan will play Eli, the charismatic patriarch of the McCullough family. As a child, he was kidnapped and raised among the Comanche Native American tribe and applies the brutal Comanche worldview to his business dealings. He was born on the day Texas became an independent Republic, earning the nickname “First Son of Texas” and is a relic of the Wild West, uneasy with the inexorable taming of Texas and the uncertain future of his legacy.

Saw both episodes, it's quite good, not amazing. I like the secondary plot with the indians better than the main plot about the company.
It only had 1 review on IMDB, the person gave it 1/10 because it's ""racist"" Actually the show does a good job of portraying the whites as assholes a lot of times (which they obviousy were). He says the indians are dressed like clowns, also false.. The clothing is very realistic and not over the top. There's a lot of evidence of how traditional native american clothing looked at the time, more so than for a lot of other things.. This idiot is a racist without him seeing it "they look like savages!! at least give them jeans to wear so they look like normal persons!"
I like the little indian dude which i remember from Fargo.. he's a good actor.
It's slower than Hell on Wheels, so don't expect pew-pew every 5 minutes
Also the first episode of most series is about introducing characters and introduction to setting/story, so usually not great imo. But yeah, it's slow and it's absolutely not amazing so far.
