New LOKI perhaps, I'll have to actually watch some of the media posted thus far but it seems a bit similar, production value not quite being able to make the game reach the epic the developers aimed at.
But as long as they don't completely overshoot like say Sacred 2 did they might be able to deliver.
Or how to best compare, probably not directly comparable but to clarify on Sacred 2 well Ascaron tried for everything from multiple endings splitting it further into separate character alignments and then splitting side quests and persona quests and having like 600+ quests in total varying smaller jobs with long spanning multiple quest chains and hell knows how large game area really was but the production value kinda made itself felt pretty early on, enjoyable but they would have needed a lot more time and money for what they were really aiming for. (Instead they tried to add a bit more via a expansion but couldn't keep afloat and thus Ascaron was no more, no idea how the reboot some of the ex-developers are planning on is currently doing but I haven't heard anything in a while.)
This guy seems to be so thrilled about it, looks that it can be fun for one playthrough, but the price is very high and those character animations are so bad , other than that it looks pretty good.

Hi l3luesky33.
As I have stated in another thread the game will be released at around 6pm-7pm CET, therefore it will already be 25th of March in your timezone, something around midnight to 1am thailand timezone most probably and I am right.

Yeah I watched this stream. However, it's worth noting that afaik the early PC build didn't even support kb+mouse...It speaks volumes about their priorities. Tbh this feels more like a ps vita game.
Overall, it's nice, I guess. I wish it had a 4 player co-op,invasions and shit.. and a more complex loot Seriously though.. Dark Souls style multiplayer should be implemented in all upcoming diablo-like games but with a more complex covenant system.
It's really cheap in my region so I'll probably get it..I dunno. I like the setting.
Interesting setting built around Scandinavian mythology
Dynamic combat & environmental hazards
Co-op mode spices up the fun
Humor
Character progression & crafting
Cons:
Fragmented story that's hard to keep track of
Difficulty feels spike-y
Certain technical problems
Not much to set it apart from other ARPGs
You guys should give it a try I was pretty skeptical when I saw this only took 4 GB... but its really starting to enjoy it. Im on level 9 now, played 4-5 chapters. The story is, well ok-ish. The combat is surprisingly fast. The physics and gore makes the gameplay just as (if not more) fun than in grim dawn. The level design is pretty good, and a pretty good amount of enemy types. The boss fights are pretty good too. Other than that, I see why it mostly gets 6-7/10. Its lacking something... feels kinda cheap.
Just tried it out of curiosity and I agree, if one manages to tolerate the utterly simplistic feel and consolish nature of the entire thing (*sad trombone* what else is new ), it can be playable.
It's a ridiculously overpriced product though, with the structure that one could and should expect from a bargain bin title. The interface is so-so (with the camera being too close), the loot fairly uninteresting, the narrative consists into generic chatter, and everything else gives you that 'been there done that (but better, by other similar games)' effect.
Mouse and keyboard aren't exactly satisfying either since there seems to be arcane automatized movements that sometimes decide for you like having an invisible awesome Viking button. Still, if one needs some brainless clickyclick grabbing the isodemo isn't the worst idea ever.
Since change #2821496 (The game unlocking / being released.) there's been 4 updates to the main ("public") branch, well they're busy fixing, something, at least.
(A while back this used to be called beta or possibly early access if it was via Steam, now it's called launch. Huh oh well at least they are patching, things.)
