Do you need to play the first DLC to unlock 2nd DLC content? Or it'll be open when you buy it?

Thanks. I didn't buy the first one as I read it is PvP focussed and had very little PvE content. I don't mind the occasional PvP invasion but not really into whole arena stuff. So waiting for 2nd DLC.

Benen waiting to play this again after Ashes of Andariel. Multiplayer on PC has not been very active for a couple of months. At least not to the level it was a year ago
Anyway really looking forward to this as it's the last Dark Souls action we'll ever get and that makes me sad because i fucking love the Souls series. Looking forward to try the new weapons. Have kept a few Titanite Chunks in stock just for the DLC weapons

Meh, i suck at it in this game.
But i suck even more at parrying. I'm always afraid to do so, as a failed parry means a hit.
Therefor i just run around with a shield.

Great magic shield+ any 65 stability shield= god mode. You can facetank almost all bosses
I must say i never really tried using magic in the Souls series, while in most other fantasy games i very much prefer heavy use of magic.
Though in those games the magic effects also look a bit more spectactular than here.

I'm always a traditionalist with Dark Souls, melee only with the overpowered sword and shield of the moment, blatantly ez_mode (the beloved Dark Sword was <3 back in the day). Don't even try to parry or do anything out of the ordinary, I'm a simple man, I just like to roll like a madman and stab beasts in their buttocks when they least expect it.
No, it's not nerfed. I've tested it today and you can facetank dragonslayer armor, dancer, vordt..Although , for instance, dancer can still use a special grab attack on you.I presume it will eb the same for other bosses.
Howeverm
1) It does not prevent status buildup though. Aka bleed, poison, toxic, frostbite
2) It can be stripped off in PVP by using one of the charms..That is if you get hit by it.
But it only lasts 30 secs, 39 with the dragonsmth ring..
Yeah so u need to keep this in mind when fighting bosses and cast it again when u have a chance. Preferably before 39 seconds run out.
As for PVP it can be stripped off or u can bleed them magic turtles to death
PS I forgot to mention that if you get hit while attacking you do take stamina damage even if u use rapiers or spears.So spamming R1 against bosses won't do you any good. You need to time your pokes\hits
