To be fair here tho, it isn't actually Bioware that made this "game". So maybe we should stop with that and just call it what it is, EA being EA.

Was Inquisition made by the "main" team or by the same team as this?
I've yet to try the game, but from most reviews it seems to suffer from the same (or at least similar) problems: focus on square mileage rather than design quality of levels, bland "to-do list" quests, generic character interactions in order to allow for all "combinations" of romantic relationships, etc.
As I said, yet to try the game, but it smells of "da: inquisition in space"

Andromeda, isn't developed by Bioware, but a minor C Studio renamed from EA Montreal to Bioware Montreal with no actual tied or relation to Bioware.

According to them all 3 studios worked on Andromeda.

edit: Reopened. Apologz in advance for anything that might have been moved by accident.
It gets really really slow with such huge threads.
Please stay on topic and take the general discussions to general gaming industry related threads.
Also: Dont feed the troll.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

FWIW, I got my key from cdkeys.com - even though they said they wouldn't send it until tomorrow.

game isnt as bad as people make it out to be, at least in my opinion, nothing has gotten on my nerves so far and exploration is interesting and quite varied.

@Casus: I hope you'll place a mini-review when you progress further into the game.

It's a huge game, so it'll probably be a while - but I'll gladly write my thoughts after giving it a proper go.

Here's some questions for you...
Spoiler: | |
As per that image (though you can use any site/aggregated score to compare, it's generally the same); the game peaked at ME2 (I'd say 1 was better, but it seems most prefer 2). And it hasn't really improved since.
Assuming that doesn't change (I don't believe it will, not by any considerable margin), then do you not see a problem with supporting + contributing to what is now clearly a series in decline?
Do you think giving them money for this is going to make the next one better, on par, or worse? How do you justify doing that when this game follows ME1/2/3, which were clearly superior?
I've seen maybe ~5hrs of gameplay footage + reviews now and the writing and dialogue isn't just average, it's terrible. The voice acting is worse than samples I've bought from Fiverr. The animations speak for themselves. The shooting can be the same or better, to me it's almost irrelevant as it's an RPG at it's core - and it fails to deliver in that aspect.
How bad does it have to get, exactly, before you would stop buying games like this? |
So, what you're saying is that we should all disregard our own opinions and ignore that we're having fun - because the hivemind dictates that the game isn't worth it?
That makes a ton of sense
