Without all the MMO stuff, DA:I would have been a great game. Good combat, good companions, good crafting, nice game world, proper story with some great moments. I hope one day in the future we'll be rid of all the collection BS all games seem to have now.
I'm not sure the story was "proper". The villain was terrible and the revelations didn't have enough force behind them to push away the flaws stemmed from the few and rushed story missions. The lore update was pretty good, I really enjoyed that.
The gameplay works. It's not spectacular and it's not garbage either, something mediocre with a few elements that rise above.
less than 3 years between KOTOR and this trailer, video game industry was developing hella fast back then
Yep. It was hella amazing. Maybe thats the reason why I dislake almost everything about current gen. Then we got plenty of new amazing games which also pushed technical aspects

I never liked Bioware's stories, DA:I had a good one compared to their other games. I disagree with your gameplay comment, I thought it worked very well for an action RPG.
Mass Effect 1 truly was one of a kind, a rough yet extremely fascinating and fresh gem, wrapped in a sci-fi soap opera that still had its charm genuinely preserved and not ruined by excessive hollywood-ness, so to speak.
This is without mentioning the gameplay itself, which shared the same qualities, with an enormous potential ready to be fully explored in the future installments..and we know what direction was taken instead. I still somewhat enjoyed 2 and 3 for what they were, but it's such a damned shame when I look back to it.

Just give us ME1 remastered faggots.
Knowing EA's disruptive nature, it's better if we make our own ghetto remaster http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/1/?
To increase the next-gennes one can also add some reshade on top of it, enable the anamflare, gaussian blur, lensdirt, CA and there we go xD
Seeing the Mass Effect 1 trailer made me laugh and fuck myself at the same time. What kind of chocolate milky way guy is that? A shitty looking beta placeholder nice! And everything else looks interesting ofc but the whole cinematics are worse dogshit than Andromeda. I replayed some of the fucking trilogy with HD textures and its really fucking good no doubt about it.
But fuck me if Andromeda will fail. Right now I dont see it fucking failing. Exploring the beary Andromeda galaxy sounds damn fun and the crew looks ok too. The hair from that bitch though is brutal. There should be a way to change it same with hair down in the pants. Anyway it looks phenomefuckingnal. The cinematic videosequences will blow our fucking pants especially in fucking 4k and Dolby Vision
I've also seem some very shitty animations though BUT every game has them. Animations are still not perfectly smooth as a babies waxed flabby ass cant help it but it looks miles better than the old trilogy. The design is a matter of monkeycocktaste that varies from ape to ape Bioware cant hold all of your hairy dongs.
And having everything in the crew every sexual beast every sexual facette every sexual need is nothing unusual the trilogy crew was very balanced too. There was also gay shit possible wasnt it? I have no idea ofc....you understand.
So I dont see a big prob. That gay chocolate warrior is sth. for the dicklovers here so why not? Its all good.
And the main enemy could be like Saren. Sounds fucking good no doubt about it. And we all need a bad motherfucker we can tear in little dickpieces. Damn its gonna be interesting no doubt about it.
What fucking surprised me was the release date in march how the fucking fuck is that possible? Its a miracle. Some even get an earlier accesscockphase days earlier....you dont do that shit if you plan to fucking delay the titgame. It will be out and thats fucking good.
Ok ladies and motherfuckers let the Andromeda adventure begin we are all rdy especially in the pants. The bitchers and moaners here will get their pizza, coke (meaning both you understand....) and the cream for the pants. I can smell it already no one can evade that fucking nice game it HAS to be the most epic game this year has to! If not so help me god I will fuck Ubisoft immediately in their own headquarter in Simbabwe or Mogadishu or in an igloo in the arctic or wherever the bitches are hiding I will find them no problem whatsoever. My second name is Supermaxdetective. So lets enjoy this hopefully masterpiece once again after the great trilogy that blew our pants right off.
FOV slider AND unlocked framerate confirmed?!!
On the other hand useless and (probably) shit mp will be p2p shit like last time, so don't get your hopes up if you had issues related to that.

MP may not be a focal point of the game, but it was a big part of the previous game, it was very entertaining, i still think it had the best formula for wave based horde mode, not even gears or KF can top it, you could unlock LOTS and i mean loads of different chars and classes to keep experementing with the abilities on every game, it kept the gameplay fresh, it had loads of gun loadouts to combine with classes also, it was pretty challenging, it had decent enemy variaty and map design variaty.
They can only improve on it, i spent many hours playing the MP, i hope they dont screw it up and make it just a few linear missions wich you can coop with friends, that will be disapointing, i hope they keep it on enclosed maps, wave based and challenging, even those little objectives you did were dam fun.
It's a shame they didn't copy Bethesda's idea of the pre-recorded first names list like they did in Fallout 4 (aside from the default Scott/Sara). Although it was a limited feature in FO4, I like the idea of it a lot. If you must insist on making your game a fully voiced imitation movie, having the game be reactive to the player's choice of name adds a lot to the experience for relatively little in the way of development cost. Obviously you can't have every NPC in the game have a giant list of possible player names voiced, but it would be practical for key NPCs like squadmates and so forth. Unless you are Japanese, it's weird to have everyone refer to you by your surname all the time.

FO4 had so few lines spoken with your name on it that it is insignificant. Absolutely waste of time in my opinion. Imagine recording lines for even just 5 names for every single companion. Count how many lines were spoken with Sheppard in it, and multiply that by 5. Its not practical at all. At that point, why the hell not use that resources to add more lines into the game?
Play FO4 again and notice how no one else but your butler ever calls you by name, or nickname (except Piper). In ME, people addresses you properly because of the fixed name Sheppard, and "Commander". They also get to switch it up so its not just one name for 3 games.
ME is not a MP-focused game, and I don't really care about MP for this. There are other titles better suited to sate my MP cravings.
+1, fuck the MP on this and on the last game. Every hour, every resource spent on that is something wasted on improving what it really should matter on the base game (quests, characters, plots, choices, etc).
No wait, I'm thinking about an RPG game, never mind

Well it's still (...don't laugh ) an RPG, if people want to have some 3rd person hurr's of durrin there's always hurrs of durrs and some other similar crap for that.
But EA (or any other big publisher... except for maybe bethesda, go figure) gonna EA... so "mass appeal yo!" with a tacked-on MP crap it is

Some action RPGs go well with multiplayer (Diablo comes to mind), but story-driven ones like ME1 imo not so much. I mean it's fine if they want to include it, they also did it in previous titles, as long as it's not a major part of the game. And there's nothing indicating that it won't be like that; basically, I'm optimistic that MP will be optional.
