Realism goes down the toilet with each new patch in this game. Now shields can withstand C4.
I like how they thought the teams balance: Attackers high damage high recoil; Defenders low damage low recoil. Like damage means so much when everyone sprays and prays for the head.
few days ago i was like, should I give this game another chance? I go to check the reddit for the game, I see a thread titled "is it justified?"
basically, a juvenile team kill thread, with 48 upvotes.
It's a good game lead forward by questionable balance decisions and a still terrible netcode. It's clear that they don't properly test these balances. The nerf to Blackbeard is just overkill because some idiots don't get that you shouldn't fight BB face to face...
yep, fantastic game, with a crappy community, and a developer shift towards a different audience. for me it all started going down hill as they kept adding more and more skins that have no relation to the setting. that was the first warning shot, and since then, I've increasingly felt like luke wilson in idiocracy when playing the game, until I found myself thinking, "wtf am I doing here", and then promptly uninstalled. It became as toxic and brain damaging as a public cs:go game, with the occasional lucky matchmaking with decent individuals.
I still occasionally get the craving to play it again, but then I quickly come back to my senses after checking the game's community pages.
I got 500 hours, of which 450 were top quality fun, so I can't complain too much, but still, saddens me to see the game hijacked from me.
I barely play it anymore. I was extremely good and it bothered me every time the netcode screwed over me skill. The increasingly arcady changes didn't do the game any favors either or some of the questionable balance changes to justify poorly designed abilities.

More arcadey than it initially was?
Imagine grenades that explode on body impact but can't take half of your HP, invisible drones, etc. It's funny that every time someone pointed out how stupid the one shot headshot mechanic is for this game, everyone jumped in to defend it for being realistic. Where is the realism now?
Tachanka got buffed and gets a shield on his LMG, it has 500hp. l http://i.imgur.com/mk1gjtU.png /u/The_Giffer
Blackbeard his shield gets destroyed in 1-2 bullets now, ADS is also slower. (Shield previously had 150hp, now it has 60hp)
Fuze now has three cluster charges and more range (the range of his cluster grenade has been increased from 2.5m to 4.2m, 4.2m not being lethal)
Bandit gets a fourth battery (previously three)
Glaz his OTs-03 got buffed (less recoil, faster ROF, extra mag) /u/The_George_Cz
Smoke his canisters get thrown further now. (More like grenades) - /u/Blank-VII
SMG buffs, less recoil. (UMP, Frost's 9mm, FMG-9 and Cav's M12) - /u/FROST_R6
Shields can absorb explosives way better. (Impact grenades or way less powerful, Nitro cell won't kill you if you are facing it.)

Haha damn, that sounds bad. It's like Ubi had decided that the amount of Ubisoft-ness wasn't enough, and adopted their own rebalance system, based on what the average mainstream-loving Ubigamer likes. You can't go wrong with that!
And to think that I actually own the game (got it for free with one of the Asus promotions..well sort of). I played it for 5-6 hours trying to withstand the new formula (with poor results, sadly), and eventually decided to drop it, since waiting for the wonky hit detection to be fixed and mechanics to be improved seemed like a smart thing to do. In hindsight, not the wisest decision
I don't care too much to be honest, but it's still a shame that things had to go this way, albeit it's definitely not surprising given the company involved.
I feel like the game was more fun at launch than now. I try every few weeks to play a few matches and I just can't get into it. I find the new maps very dissapointing. And shit still happens like I am sitting behind a trash can and I still get headshot because my head is just sticking out since the weapon model is on based from the chest. Same with the tickrate.
"In making this operator Ubisoft likely wanted to make an attacker that could track down a roaming defender without using drones to giveaway his position. Without the need to follow a drone, Jackal would be able to effectively "sniff out" any lurkers in any dark corner of the map and fire on them instantaneously."
Sure, why not.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
'Gie sledg' 'Gie sledg' 'Gie sledg' when I pick sledge. Ofcourse when the match starts I get shot and the whole team shoots eachother. Great start of a ranked match and then the idiot who started leaves with his buttbuddy.
I tried the fucking Siegebitchbeta months ago and that was some kind of horrible monkeybanandickshit. Nothing worked I didnt play one single round after hours of fucking trying. Friend couldnt join motherfucking once not even with opened dickports and I could fuck once and it was lagging stuttering and horrible shitty bad. One of the worst games (fucking betas) I EVER encountered this game is a beautiful toiletproduct for apes only.
