I hate sometimes the save system. Everytime i kill something i save again and i hate the inventory its too small. |
You can upgrade your inventory later in the game.

Looks great based on the streams. How is it on the PC? I won't be getting it myself because I am a pussy and prefer my 1st person horror games to be like Condemned 2.
What's up with the Ethans by the way?
I will gift this to my brother though since he's big on survival horror (RE 1-3 we used to play together, with me coaching around puzzles and what to do with him actually playing), and based on streams where you actually do run out of ammo mid fight if you plain suck at aiming, this seems pretty neat.
Looks like a good refresh of the series in my opinion.

So far: Runs great in 1080p, 1.5 scaling, max everything.
4 hours: got the third part of the game (old house). Not much in terms of gameplay.
You can collect coins so you can increase your max health/reload speed, buy 1 weapon. You can expand your inventory by finding a rucksack.
Thats all. Its not alien isolation, so no hiding mechanics are present. (You cant go under desks,chairs etc, and you cant hide in closets)
Each are has 1 "alien" (baker papa,mama and boyo) who patrols the area just in case. You can stun them by shooting, or you can try to avoid them.
The game involves some puzzling elements, but they are: find this item, go back, press use.
I can family share if the game supports it.

Shipped 2.5M. Capcom's goal is to sell 4M by March 31, so they are doing well.

RE6 shipped 4.5M at launch, but that was before people played it.. You could say RE7 is paying for RE6's sins.
Let's also not forget how much cheaper this game was to produce than RE6, with a staff count of 120 vs up to 600. Also how much more efficient their art pipeline was thanks to photogrammetry:
Highpoly and Topology budgets were half each, Texture budget was 1/4th.
Capcom's goal for RE6 was to sell 7M BTW vs 4M for RE7. That shows they have budgeted RE7 accordingly. So all is well so far.
edit Also the RE7 demo has been downloaded more than 7 million times. The thirst is real.

ok, here we go...
i dont got the game yet, paitently whaiting for it, so i took the demo to start an ReShade preset since it clearly needs one, with this fugly AA solutions and shadows..yuuk.
Performance decrease could be around 10FPS in worst cases..(gtx670)
ingame settings:
AA - TAA ONLY
Shadows - HIGH
Rest can be highest possible.
ReShade settings:
FXAA,AdaptiveSharpen,LiftGammaGain,Tonemap,FilmGrain.
LiftGammaGain was used for the Middtone shadows, to make them a little brighter without crushing the light areas and without making the lowtone dark areas brighter..
ToneMap gets rid of the subtile yellow-reddish tone.
FilmGrain makes the shadows appear a bit less bad.. Only use if u like this effect..If not, turn it off.
Rest is self explainable..
