It's always possible, but at times it requires a combination of perfectly timed shadow mode actions and some trial and error.

No kill is definitely possible but no knockouts i doubt.
I havent done the no kill on the very last level yet, just got burnt out, from other levels though i can tell you i had to use some dirty tricks quite often

Yeah, I'm talking about no "contact" at all - that's highly unlikely in my opinion. KOs only - should be possible, but with some dirty tricks like you said, or I mentioned in the spoiler a couple posts back.

I'm stuck on mission 13...
Spoiler: | I enter the well with all 4 players but after the cut scenes the game just sits there. Can't do anything but it's not frozen as AI are walking around and talking is heard. |
Any hints, maybe reinstall? I have gone back a couple of saves and it stops there every time.
Also i picked up the Artwork book and tactical guide from another site. VERY useful

Silly question but did you check the well they come out of to see if they're still in there? also have you tried the other well?

Yeah, I did check, they are all in the bushes as that is how the cutscene starts, when they are all out of the well.
Good idea on the other well. I am playing the level through again to see if it gets stuck but now will try for the other well and see what happens.
Thanks.

Restarted mission, had same problem.
Reinstalled with keeping saves, restarted mission and finished it twice using a different well each time.
Thanks guys.

You triggered an alarm?
I'm not sure if it's a bug or intended that he stays inside the building to be safe.

bugged out on me too, I noticed that his 2 samurai guards were still at the bath, even though masaru was in the house.
I just killed the 2 samurai and this forced him to leave the house and pick up the route to the bath.

RPG Codex Review: Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
Quote: | [...]
I guess some people are expecting me to offer a direct comparison between ST and its forebears, possibly with some edgy statements. Allow me to disappoint. This game is good enough that you can actually have a conversation about whether it is better than Commandos, Desperados or Robin Hood. That alone speaks volumes about its quality. There is also the fact that making comparisons between games that were built to be broken can be somewhat difficult. On the one hand, you can list all the interesting interactions that Desperados permits and call it a better game by that measure, but on the other hand, you can laud ST for how much it achieves with so little and say it has tighter design. The only hill on which I am willing to die on is the game's user interface. It surpasses all of its predecessors and stands as one the best UIs in any tactics game ever. There are almost no situations where you have to fight against it, which is vital in a game about carefully laid plans that require split second reactions to pull off. If you disagree, then congratulations, you have earned the right to swing your cane at kids while telling them to git off yer lawn.
I tried and probably failed to be neutral in this review. Truth be told, this is one of my favorite games of 2016. I remember being both angry and overjoyed when a chicken started running around and triggered my carefully laid trap, which sent my plan tumbling down. These are the moments you hold on to. It is not for everyone, but that goes for the entire genre Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun belongs to. Even so, I wouldn't recommend it just to Desperados/Commandos fans. This game is a safe bet for anyone interested in tactics games or just straight up well-designed games in general. Spread the love around with your wallet by showing Mimimi Productions that their foray into real-time squad tactics games is well worth the price of admission. |

I hope it will be on a good sale soon.

Still haven't figured out how to use Kuma....I sent him near guards but they don't get distracted. Do you have to do something else?

Discovered this game a few days back and finished it pronto.
F A N T A S T I C commando-like, featuring Kuma(!!!), the best hitman to ever set paw on this earth.
Spoiler: | |
Great game, well deserving of your cash. I hope we see more of that merry band in the future
Micro review:
Pros
Spoiler: |
-Superb setting and art.
-Full 3D on the map is and runs super smoothly. Changes the gameplay (you gotta find that perfect angle sometimes, or you just find hidden paths).
-Well crafted levels.
-Dubs/sounds are top-notch.
-Nice difficulty, has you really planning and thinking sometimes.
-SOLID gameplay.
-Varied environements, with each their special gimmicks.
-KU TO THE MA. A little bandito! |
Cons
Spoiler: |
-The old dude had OP Kuma, but that's pretty much it. I mostly never used him at all (except to lug his ass to the required part of the map).
-The abilities they got are a bit on the "short" side, not a lot to do differently.
From the 5:
1°)Standard attack (Stabby McStabface)
2°)Generaly usefull, unique skill
3°)Generaly super usefull, unique skill
4°)Gun (they all got it, hardly ever used it)
5°)Healing (useless)
-I did entire levels with, ie, just Yuki, fluting, trapping and just stabbing dudes.
I ended up using almost always the same approach to everything.
