Outlaws was fun, no idea what engine it's running via but perhaps Dark Forces 2 something also from LucasArts back then maybe?
I do remember the game giving me a little shock when I found stuff like crazed psychotic animals (Was to be a Sam & Max reference as I later found out.) and of course from the first level the ever popular alien cattle mutilation.
EDIT: Oh and yeah they were ripped (Rips were a thing back then.) but the original game does have some really nice animated video sequences between levels and a pretty solid western story too, pretty mature for something from Lucas Arts as well.
