Madre de dios, I finally watched the second season, it was absolutely phenomenal. Didn't imagine they could top the great first one, but they did it, the magnificent malparidos.
It was definitely more violent and action-packed, as expected (the Escocircle had to be closed), yet it still contained slow-paced and pensive moments, especially towards the end with Pablo showing his more "human" (sort of) side and emotions. There's not much to say about good ol' Moura that hasn't been said already, he surpassed himself by showing such a believable portrayal of an absurdly complex and charismatic character. But the entire cast was perfect really, along with the rock-solid brutal direction and flow.
Even if the main chapter is over, there are definitely interesting future developments left, albeit it will be more difficult from now on, for the obvious reasons.
Spoiler:
The highlight of the season for me was probably episode four. Carrillo's death was portrayed in an amazing(ly terrifying) way, with the bullet scene surrounded by devilish flames and Pablo emerging from them to achieve his revenge. It felt so damn powerful
The cast is really good, so I have no worries as long as the writers don't lose steam.
Well, since it's based on Escobar, they pretty much already have a lot of their work done for them, so it would take an incredible team of hacks to really make it shit.

Spoiler:
Escobar died in the end of season 2. So season 3 is based on a new script.

But it's still based on an existing/former drug lord, so there is no problem with the entire plot per se.

Looking good!
No Agent Murphy this season, but it makes sense since he returned home after the conclusion of the Escobar saga. At least we still have Pena kicking malparidos' arses
