This game was in the making for 3/4 years.Don't remember and don't know if it matters but the 7xx generation came out then.
And gpu(not only) manufacturers could have a ''hand'' on those graphs in trying to make you buy a new gpu (because OMG LOW FPS! HAVE TO BUY NEW PC).....i mean i would do it Laughing

It does. It shows why dx12 was postponed. Very Happy And it IS dx12 not just a placeholder.

If you take a look at how AMDs gpus perform in the lowest available resolution you'll see that dx12 really helps reduce dat dx11 overhead AMD is infamous for.(It starts after "1280х720 DirectX 11" in this gamegpu review)

Nvidia's results are strange but it's nixxer's dx12 we are talking about. They already showed us in RoTTR how "goodl" they can code when it comes to dx12 lol

And it shows a bad performance on all GPUs.That is in a pre-release version. + some ultra crap enabled that is not visible anyway.

Let's hope day1 patch will fix this shite. Troll Dad

Someone on my friend list must have a press copy as I see him playing and unlocking achievements in Steam activity section. Too bad I am busy next week and will not get a chance to play this till the following week so hopefully at least the first patch is out by then.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a big-budget, super-huge sequel that delivers
Quote:
The good:
- New powers add welcome juice to what were already solid stealth and combat systems
- Dialogue is written as well as it's acted, with an abundance of side plots to make for a rich quest
- Elaborate city and mission environments strike a satisfying balance between "it feels real" and "it plays well as a game"
- An entire bonus game that nails the concept of "arcade" Deus Ex

The bad:
- It's better-looking than an Xbox 360 game, but not much (unless you have a souped-up PC, which we tentatively recommend as the "ultimate" version of the game)
- AI can act remarkably stupid at times, which renders a couple of missions moot

The ugly:
- Geez, I dunno... it doesn't fold your laundry or make you a sandwich, I guess

Verdict: Buy. Buy the heck out of this game.

A lot of people seem to have forgotten how Xbox 360 games looked.

I mean, unless those videos and screenshots are from another game, this is clearly a current-gen game - even if it's not the most amazing example.

Although to be fair perhaps they are playing on the lowest difficult, although to be fair (x2) newer games just scale damage taken and damage dealt and if they want to be a bit technical they set achievements behind the higher difficulties. Razz
(Not really sure if there is a recent game where difficulty directly impacts the AI routine short of the more basic stuff such as time to react to the player, Crysis 1 for example had a couple of parameters but that was back in 2006..)

Hell AI still generally have unlimited ammo and favor rushing with difficult coming from just spawning in bigger mobs or simply upping health or such.
(On some occasions they can use "cover" but that "" is because they have to leave X percentage of the body exposed or behave like a pop-up. Razz )

Arsetechnica couldn't recognize a good game even if it would check it's privilege. At least some of the "journos" in there wouldn't...

A lot of them seem to be not able to judge something correctly, "hey this looks like a ps2 game" that's probably coming from a generation that didn't even play more than 1 of those. Another one of that derpartment is "wow that looks very realistic, like real life".

Ars has been spot on for every game review over the past two years (at least). But that's modern hump for you,

  • A game hump derps don't like + unflattering review = best review site ever, such journalistic integrity
  • A game hump derps don't like + flattering review (or just some positive stuff in an overall bad game) = bought for doritos and sucked cocks
  • A game hump derps like + unflattering review (or just some negative stuff in an overall good game) = worst review site ever, social justice, "they didn't get paid olol"
  • A game hump derps like + flattering review = best review site ever, such journalistic integrity

I guess it's not just for games either, same with movies, tv shows, etc.

I agree.
They have some nice articles and some SJW crap... but the one thing: they are really shit at is game reviews. It's like my Belgian newspaper writing about F1... you wonder if they ever watched a race or followed an entire season.

Doesn't mean they are wrong though.

Edit: But as you can see above me: In the end it's rather personal when it comes to reviews. Smile

On their facebook they said Monday morning, out of experience I can say: if enough people whine about the pre-load already being available they might give them out sooner.

But last time with JC3 there was more whine on Friday than with this one so...
