Ok , I just watched the 6 videos and there are 2 things which stand out as being negative in my mind.

Firstly, they still have the extremely shitty "load whenever you enter a house" engine mechanic. Surely with such advanced hardware this is unnecessary now. Gothic 1 and 2 handled it perfectly well, so why not this. It totally breaks immersion, and means that any NPC in a house can never leave. You can steal all you want from a shop, leave and then the shopkeeper or guard cannot chase you outside. It's pathetic in my opinion.

Then the instant travel map. I thought there were horses in the game, what use would they be?

The best game for Load Screens was NeverWinter Nights - load here, load there - what FuN !
I bet Morrowind 4 is hyped to the max & utlimately disappoints - please God prove me wrong !

This is a pointless game to discuss, might as well discuss duke dukem forever or team fortress 2, it's gonna be out whenever, and who knows what will be in it, orwhat will not be in it so the limited on memory console xbox360 will be able to run it, bah, to hell with it

They accomplished this back in 1996 (guards at least), I doubt they will have any trouble doing it in their latest installment.

Accaulty that's one of the things they wanted to fix (so they did Razz). Unfortunately it's just NPC run's to door, fades out, fades back in on other side of door, but they will hunt you down.

some intresting read here

http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=185378

its about why the game was on delay and why it will be out next year and not december

here for the folks who dont click on links Razz

Quote:
In short, the game is coming out in early 2006 because it isn't done yet. We still have things that need to be done before the game is released. So we continue to optimize, test, balance, etc. We've already gone way beyond what we did in any game previously in playtesting and balancing this game. Way beyond. But there is work that needs to be done and so development continues to go on pretty much around the clock. We will not put out a more specific date until we are certain we will be ready then. Like system specs, we aren't fans of putting out info that changes later on and only confuses or annoys our fans.

We have a number of site updates planned between now and the game's release that we hope to do on a regular basis each week. We'll do the best we can to make it every week, but understand that sometimes PR/marketing stuff gets in the way of game development and so it has to get set aside sometimes for the good of the game (and the people making it). We'll be updating the Codex in stages, adding new concept art, screens, etc. in the coming weeks and months. We're open to doing another fan interview in the coming weeks as well to let you ask what it is you think we aren't telling you. In short, we aren't holding out on you, we just don't want to be done telling you about the game before it comes out.

We appreciate your patience and continued support and ensure you that your dedication will be rewarded with what we think is the best RPG you've ever played

With a game that looks that good and is supposed to have as much game time as the 3rd on, I'm hardly surprised at the delay. As long as they dont pull a stalker/HL2 on us, I think i can keep pateint. Peace,

early 2006 is holliday 2006, if the're quick Very Happy , i think the holliday 2005 release wasn't a realistic one for such a complex game, think the publisher wanted it, not the devs.

Dare we hope of the first Elder Scrolls game with minor or no bugs? That would be pretty sweet.
Game will prolly come during summer 2006.

Are u kidding ??

Gamershell has been just to lazy to update their release date panel (after all, this game site is lame : they've rated Chrome Specforce 9/10 and considered it as a major 2005 fps title )

to check : http://www.gamershell.com/pc/specforce/review.html

Players4Players.com is reporting that Bethesda Softworks has actually finished The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PC, but the game was delayed because it is prepared for Xbox 360.

this seems to be reported on sevarl sites now and its almost official
rumors are saying that someone nicked the game out of the factoires and it will be soon leaked to the net.,.Sad

Wasn't the problem maintaining 30fps on the xvox? i thought that was the reason for the delay. consoles are always dragging down the game world.
