Cool
Looked promising enough when I played it early on in early access, but it was too shallow and there wasn't much to find on planets so little reason to go explore.
I can imagine how cool it'll be with lots of content though.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
Lol, the old stable was from a year ago, starting from unstable 0.8 (debuted
July 4 ) you had access to the main quests and story, revamaped crafting and lots of other additions.
Stable 1.0 is a much different game. Oh, and saves from unstable work without a problem.
Is there a story or something? I would get bored just exploring, crafting, doing randomly generated "quests" without any major, interesting purpose.....
Nothing fancy, but it does send you rummaging around different planets to do stuff. Quests in villages are mostly fetch quests though. Craft this; find this guy/gal, bring them back to me.
After you finish main story (should take you 15-20 hours) there's just building and exploring left. Planets are interesting, they usually have dugeons/cities and minibiomes.
As for building I built a planetwide monorail, working both with platforms and raillhook, on a barren planet and started a colony and terraforming project there. Right now it's basicaly like Terraria, just with more than one planet but less items (but they are planning on adding stuff as they go)
People are also converting their mods to 1.0, already a few essential (UI) or expansive (like Frackin Universe) are available, so things should change soon.
At first i wanted to go with Novakids, because they characters look so cool. But their ship design is literally a trainwreck.
Now i have Humans, Hyloltl and Apex.
- I don't really like playing as an ape, but their costumes look pretty cool and their ship too.
- The Hyloltls have probably the best ship design and looks. But their costumes look very bad.
- The humans are the most boring choice. But both costumes and ship design still have a sexy flair to them.
JUST PLAY BOB, you can have more than one character. You're the sims generation, "oh my god I need to decide what clothes to put on each day for the next 2 weeks" "this chair is off by 23 degrees, i need to get it to 20!"
@harry_theone
WTF. Why you attack me man. Everyone plays differently. And i just want to get the mostly satisfying package when i play.
Also i don't plan to play with more than one character. No time at all for that. Will focus on the main story first (which should give me ~20h playtime anyways). And then let's see.
Went with an Apex bro in the end.
Played for ~2h so far.
The new hotbar is a disgusting joke in terms of comfortability.
I hope there will be soon a mod out to bring a standard hotbar with like 10 slots, instead of this dual slot thing.
Started on Casual difficulty, as i don't want to rage for losing items on death.
But will you lose anything actually in casual mode? Like some pixel money?
You just lose 10% of your pixels. Not sure if there's somewhere to bank your pixels, I think there used to be but haven't really played since the first beta.

lol stop being so hurt by every single feedback you get we know you barely have any patience with most things.
GO APE BOY, MAKE YOUR OWN HISTORY NOW
You'll get used to the hotbar, for some things it's even more practical, even though I didn't like it at first. You could use a Mod for "not dropping items on death", someone made it for the unstable but it should be working for "1.0" (essentially the same).
Judging by the name, it's just the glowy rain. Kinda like a no-impact meteor shower.
For environmental hazards, just read the planet's description. It will tell you the general issues, like too hot, too cold, toxic, radioactive, etc. The weather itself seem to be only cosmetic.
Well no, glowing rain is cosmetic, but burning rain can burn down wooden structures and meteor strikes destroy everything at the place of impact. That's only on fiery planets though, so no worries
