100 % agree with everything that's been said here, just don't say it in Black Ops thread, or Sabin will get you. Laughing

You know what... if it REALLY is set in space then they will be battling ALIENS. I am calling it now.

Fuck it. I'm not on the haterwagon this time. I think it'd be fun. I always want sci-fi versions of popular games. Diablo, Dungeon Siege (and not that travesty of a game Space Siege), etc.

Although I'd rather have a sci-fi game made with the BC2 engine. Smile

Actually during MW2's early development the writers considered all kinds of potential enemies for the player to fight, even aliens and zombies: http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/213011/modern-warfare-2-writer-the-airport-level-was-a-risk-we-had-to-take/

In the beginning we talked about having things in Modern Warfare 2 like outbreaks, viruses, chemical warfare, and even outlandish things such as aliens and the living dead.

Modern Warfare 3 co-developer Sledgehammer Games President Glen Schofield has confirmed to NowGamer that the studio has no plans to return to its secretive 'action/adventure' Call of Duty project, saying it was "too niche". Reaction

Asked if Sledgehammer would return to the Call of Duty title it started before working on Modern Warfare 3, Schofield replied: "I don't think we'll go back to that one. The genre... it was really good, but it might be a bit niche. I don't know. We had something special there. We'll see. I've had a blast making a first-person shooter."

It was widely speculated that Sledgehammer's game was to be a third-person action adventure - but not any more.

Third person action-adventures are so niche, better develop another standard Call of Duty Laughing
