This game desperately needed more stages. I haven't played it in ages because I knew almost all the corners of wales, greece and finland (by FAR my favorite locations).
It gets incredibly boring since I usually crush masters championships even in places like monaco and germany that I don't know well. To be fair though sweden kicks my ass.
Full dirt pikes peak will be worth a go at least.
Performance seems much improved - I'm playing on Ultra (minus advanced AO) and I barely drop below 60fps - that is much better than a few months ago.
I don't see any obvious difference in graphical fidelity, but I suspect there has been some 'streamlining' done... I await the inevitable comparisons...

That's pretty awesome tbh - this is one of those games I'm really pleased I paid EA for - so much content. I hope this specific team work on something new, as they've proven themselves to be worthy of my cash.

Ok, all joking aside, how playable is it with keyboard? I remember Grid and Dirt 2 being quite comfortable with it. I have a steam controller as a last resort, but I thought I ask. The vids I've seen people playing it with KB looked manageable.

It's not impossible, but it is really tough to achieve decent times with the keyboard (I tried it out of curiosity back then, the results were quite disgraceful), since the game isn't anywhere as forgiving as Grid/Dirt and a lot of 'analogic work' is required. Even the gamepad itself is already limiting.
But yeah, if you just aim at stoically completing the stages like an ironman, then it's doable, it just requires more patience.
@Madness: they're preparing the grounds to introduce Denuvo like in F1 2016
I'm waiting for Valve to partner with Denuvo, so CEG becomes DCEG, which is not a huge difference to how it works now, if you look at it - apart from CEG is silly easy to crack/bypass.
Imagine the profits!!!

Cheers. Will see how they discount it during the summer sale, might buy it.
So why do they need to say Oculus Ready? Why not just state VR Ready? Because they've done a deal with the devil - just because the DRM shit has been (quietly) removed, doesn't mean they can't make the API incompatible with OpenVR in some way. You don't tend to say stuff like that without a lot of cash from said company.
I'm happy to be proved wrong of course, by when you seem shite like this, you just wonder where it'll end?

Oculus Ready (tm), maybe because if I remember correctly Oculus Rift DK2 (DK1 also?) was already supported back then, when HTC Vive wasn't even a thing.
Just wait for it, I would say
