Story and pacing could be little better, but cutscenes are good enough to tide you until next one Overall enjoyable experience. It drags a bit in the middle, though.
How is this compared to Nexus Jupiter Incident? It seems quite similar judging by vids and feedback.

I played Nexus so long ago that I won't even try to compare those two
Been many years since I played Nexus, so not sure how comparable they are. Don't think they really are at all.
This plays like a standard RTS, but focuses entirely on microing(shooting straight line torpedoes, using timed bombs, small warp jumps, taunts etc.) a small amount of ships. Orks focus on ramming the enemy's ships if you want which is ridiculously fun.
Like I said, I never touched the original game before. And as ixi says, it might just be a patch for widescreen support, I dunno. "Remastered" is the name of the Skidrow rls, hence I referred to it as such.
Anyway, I gave Nexus about half an hour last ngiht and based on that alone, it is nothing like BGA.
Largely expanding on the groundwork laid out by the first game, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a full-blown sequel - bigger, richer, more impressive and more ambitious than the original game. It will include, at launch, all 12 factions from the original tabletop game and its expansion Armada it is based on: the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and finally, the Tyranids.
The latest dramatic story development in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Gathering Storm and the 13th Black Crusade, will serve as the canvas for several, extensive and dynamic campaigns.
With bigger battles, refined gameplay, improved multiplayer modes and features for a better and more balanced online experience, improvements across the board and even more customisation options for fleets and ships, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 promises to be the ultimate Warhammer 40,000 space battle experience.
The game is planned for release on PC in 2018, and will be first presented to the press during Focus's yearly event in Paris, le What's Next de Focus, on February 7-8.
Clearly, hopefully we'll get to see some gameplay at E3. So far I'm guessing that the Space Marines campaign takes place during the Indomitus Crusade. If true, this could be awesome if done right.
Originally planned for a release in September, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will finally land on PC in January 2019. These couple of additional months of development will allow developers Tindalos to polish the game and bring all their ambitions to life after the great success met by the first game. The team at Tindalos will also take opportunity of this extra development time to add extra content for the game's release!
The game already offers a huge content with 3 great narrative campaigns, 12 playable factions and refined gameplay. This extra development time will allow Tindalos to add a new exciting feature: all three narrative campaigns will thus be playable in coop multiplayer! In order to involve players during this extra development phase, we’ll organize not one but two pre-order betas. More details about the dates and content of these pre-order betas will be communicated shortly.
