(Copy paste from Reddit)
Before anything, my PC is a:
-ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING
-Intel i7 6700K
-16GB DDR4 RAM 2333mhz
-GIGABYTE GTX 970 G1 GAMING
-Windows 7 HP 64Bits
-2 SSDs , 1 HDD
-Pinnacle Moviebox HD
Important parts:
-Logitech G510 RGB Keyboard
-Logitech G502 Mouse
-Logitech Gaming Software latest version
The thing is that a month ago i've reinstalled Windows 7 and used Microsoft's newest "Update compilation April 2016" or something. Once done, i've noticed that i could download every single M$ update with "WSUS Offline". So i did, and saved it into a pendrive and used it's update.exe file to update my system with every single update...Then the rest of Windows Updates left (Except W10's notification stuff). Ofcourse i've used the latest 2 types of USB drivers from ASUS Site for the MB (Intel's and ASMedia 3.0/3.1 drivers).
The issue?. Note that i have the Battle.Net launcher and set it so that when my PC turns on it auto-loads and auto-signs in (Same goes with W7, no password, directly to desktop).
Now, sometimes i start up the PC (Aka power button then to desktop) and the mouse and keyboard goes all fine. No issues, all programs loads up correctly etc.. Sometimes i hear a couple of some "Do dee" sounds that means "Drivers/You've plugged a device to the computer".
No probs so far...Now, SOMETIMES, RANDOMLY, if i reboot the PC OR turn it on from a Power Off status, once the PC reaches the Desktop... The Keyboard and Mouse are TURNED OFF, can't move the mouse, can't type anything.. Yet everything in the PC loads just fine...
Now, if i reboot from there (Forced Restart via tower) and load up to desktop again, everything works... BUT!!!!... Battle.Net's app asks me for the password...I don't know if the battle.net app interferes with the devices or it's a maybe bad driver / Windows Update crap.
Gotta mention that both devices are connected to USB 2.0 ports just incase.
Is there any solution to this?

Neither do we. But you can test it while we can't. So disable it and see how it goes.

@bob: first there is no official win 7 iso which is more up2date than the sp1 initial iso released from ms. second: have fun trying to apply all updates to an iso image, most of them dont work cause they are based on each other. fastest way (which still takes a lot of time) to get an up2date win 7 -> install the sp1 image, install the one and only required small kb update and then run the convenience rollout update ms released a few weeks ago
@DV2: as i most likely said before: ditch that old shit windows 7 and come to the bright side of windows 10. your new hardware isnt even designed to run on windows 7. would have said just use usb2.0 ports for that devices, most likely some sometimes fuckup with the bad usb 3 drivers on win7 but you already did that

8.1 if you hate 10.
Or 10 if you don't hate 10.
Forget 7.

i really could understand the first 8.0 hating, it wasnt that great. sure 8.1 made windows great again but there is absolutely no reason to choose 8.1 over 10

Well, we know what DV2 will be doing the next two days instead of gaming on that nice hardware.
I even have a title in mind for this undertaking that unfortunately isn't being recorded on cam.
The adventures of DV2 and his 2016 hardware on a 2009 OS:
slipstreaming updates into a win7 sp1 ISO (take 1-35)
edit: awww, he deleted his post with slipstreaming info

I had the same problem in win 8.1.
For me it was a windows usb driver update, after removing that update everything worked fine again.

Wich Windows USB Driver Update?. Is it from W7 too or just the undesired auto-update from W10?.. I use O&O Shutup10 on W10 before i do anything after a format.
Reason for not going to W10 yet is because there's an important software that's not compatible with W10 and it's important for my dad. WD Discovery Tool. It's network on W10 is not installed nor compatible unlike W7, wich is install and works 1st time.

Just install Windows 10 and apply some win7 theme pack to it , no reason to use dying OS with modern hardware.

Had it not so long ago, in my case it was a wonky install of the USB 3.0 drivers. Re-install worked fine. Could be a lot of things though but do a re-install of the drivers only takes a few seconds to rule it out.
