Confused
Hey, that is exactly the sort of comments I wasn't expecting here !
You can hate drift as hard as you want (I don't like it so much even)

But there is no drift "script" ala NFS in Pcars, so why calling about no realism here ?

Also, http://www.evo.co.uk/reviews/15973/project-cars-game-of-the-year-edition-review-as-close-as-it-gets-to-the-real-thing

Guys go and get the GOTY edition if you haven't already Wink
(I still can make use of some more $$$ ) Very Happy

Because Pcars is as realistic as something like Forza - it is a simcade, therefore anything you do in the game is simply not realistic.

Based on what? Pcars is miles ahead of forza and Gran Turismo. Which wheel did you play pcars with? Did you have a buttkicker?Or even any other product that is supported by pcars?

That's a load of nonsense. It shows you have never played Cars or Forza to make this ridiculous claim.

To say that pCARS is on the same level as Forza and GT is a great disservice to the game, despite all the cockups around it.

It definitely isn't a full blown sim, but it is far more realistic than Forza or GT. I was hoping Forza was better than I expected it to be, but now that I've tried it, it really isn't. It's better than GT, but not immensely. Forza still sits on the arcade half of the "simcade" scale, this sits on the sim half.

Thing is, that's not supposed to happen. In pcars you tweak the setup a bit, pick the 'drift' car, and car is going sidways almost on it's own. I'm not sure about Forza, but GT is far better in this aspect, while AC is far above everything else when it comes to drifting.

This game is amazing in the rift and vive!
I spent 4 hours racing 2 friends that have the vive, on the nurburgring (or whatever the long version of it is called).
By far the best VR game I have in my list of VR games to play.
The open top/wheel cars give an amazing feeling to the racing, and being able to look around, see the guy next to you. and the 'actually there' vibe it gives.

Don't try this at home. No seriously, it won't work like that Laughing This is the guy who's working on changing the physics. He posts every so often about it. Looks pretty fun. He got rid of the insane amounts of grip and snap oversteer it seems.

I also just had another return (not refund) into my paypal. I only put in the price of the game all those years ago which was about 25euros and have had three times what I paid for it. It might not have been everyones cup of tea but I'm happy I backed it because it bought me a nice few goodies.
