Here is the intro running in 60 fps, he worked a full night on it since every scene needs to be hex edited from hand to make this possible if no one find´s a way to automate this, it will take him months to make the whole game 60 fps and that's only the scenes, gameplay needs even more fixes.

That's truly incredible, though it's a shame that each scene has to be hand-edited and then combat too. I can imagine he'll put out his method as a PoC and then leave it to the rest of the world to do
Now if there could be an option to skip cutscenes, it'd be a blast....Any kind of Cutscene...

That very example proves they were redrawn - just as an example, the wooden plank in the middle of the walkway has a middle bit rising up, with two diagonal bits on each side. The middle bit is clearly different.

You can clearly see the design is totally different, even with the blurring due to the resize - the planks are a totally different shape. Even the blue area is just differently drawn.

Yeah it isn't worth it tbh, it still hiccups and that's more offputting than it being 30fps. Tis a shame, but unless there is an easier method, I think we'll just have to deal with it

To be honest i think the lines were already present in the original. Just smudged to hell and back.
The wood grain however really is just different. Lowering resolution wouldn't change luminance completely, but it is.
Good picture, thx
And everything looks wider again. I think they cheated a little for getting 16:9 support

No it is not.
If anything, it proves the original was very low-res and PS2 bilinear sucks. You also need to take into consideration PS2 texture format used for FFX on PS2, it is low-q in terms of color preservation.
FFX was a moderately modern game so original source files should be pretty hi-res. In this case, applying good filter over should give these results we see in REMASTER.
Square Enix also revealed that along with the Final Fantasy X-2 Hd Remaster’s character models the background textures and environments were also redrawn and reworked upon to make them look better.

Lol no the textures in the HD remaster are totally different you have no fucking clue what you are talking about you can't just slap a filter on a texture and get a totally different one
FF X was mostly made with the tools they used for their PS1 games it was in development at the same time as FF IX .
They didn't even have the files for KH1 anymore 2 guys had to reverse engineer the game from the disks for it's HD remaster so i don't really think they had much usable files for this considering it was made with much older tools.
The game disappointing when it comes to controls and Manu. AFAIK while the game support gamepad, you are still forced to use the keyboard if you want to go the options in game.
also, there is no full-windows menu like in the PS3/PS4? versions... it's windowd.

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!

Did you expect them to say: "no, we just took the original hi-textures from project file and after some touch ups in photoshop reused for new remaster". The job of a PR/marketing department is to bullshit and gloss over.

No, but then I have a smattering of intelligence and I also have keen eyesight. It is entierly obvious that the backgrounds have been redrawn, and many textures also - people don't like the new facial texturing, which kinda confirms the redrawing.
But it's ok, you're obviously one of those who don't like to be called out for being wrong. You'll fit in very well here.
