The EU - great idea in theory and there ARE many great things about it (free traffic, unified coin, unified laws, etc.) but in practice there are many rotten things wrong about it as well.
The answer to your question is: it depends on how optimistic you are. Right now, the EU is a mix of good & bad stuff. Most of its laws are to our benefit, though, but the EU does cost a lot of money thanks to corrupt politicians using it as a nice ATM and there's a lot of corporate influence.
However, I think getting rid of the EU would lead to many problems - one of the main reasons for the EU, which the media doesn't mention, is that it allows large companies to cross borders. The moment you return the old system of borders, etc. you'll see MANY companies pulling out of Europe with massive job loss as a result.
We already saw this on a smaller scale with Greece: Colgate said that, if Greece were to get pushed out of the EU, it would close its factory in Greece since the main seat is in Paris and the extra complexity to "importing" their own goods from Greece would be a logistic nightmare and they might as well go to far cheaper countries if they had to deal with such crap.

All I want to know is, if they opt to leave the EU, will there still be some trade agreement so we don't have to pay taxes/duty on things ordered from the UK?
If not, YOU BETTER FUCKING STAY WITH US!!!

Yeah it sucks lately, because of the value of euro, but amazon uk is one of the best internet shops out there, especially for little countries. Lately i try to use germanys amazon, but sometimes they just don't have what i need.

Yes, but in Sweden you earn (on the whole) a decent living wage, in the UK we don't. But we pay way over the odds for everything (not just luxury goods but essentials too, food, clothes etc) . Hence why poverty is rife in the UK.

No, you don't. Groceries are quite a bit cheaper in the UK than elsewhere in Western Europe. Not luxury items such as cigarettes, but actual food is much cheaper than it is here in NL, BE, DE or in fact SE. Sweden is only marginally more expensive than NL, there's a lot of things that cost roughly the same as they do here.
Your minimum wages are slightly higher than they are here, average net wage in the UK is in between NL and SE.
Where you lose out is rent. That's the part that causes the UK's relatively high poverty.

Yeah, of course I do apologise, I am wrong. Obviously, being born and living in the UK for 40+ years gives me absolutely no insight into the economics of daily living, next time I go to Tesco's for shopping I shall be sure to consult you first, as you are obviously in a better position than I am to know how far my money goes and what I am doing wrong.
Despite the fact I have been working in a government department for many years, I surely must have inexplicably lost all my wages to some sort of magic fairy. That is the only possible explanation for someone such as me, with no debts, who does not drink (well hardly at all), does not smoke and the only luxury I allow myself is my PC.
How on earth did I manage to live before I saw the wisdom of your words? Can you also tell me how to comb my hair and brush my teeth? As it is obvious I have no clue about life.
I eagerly await your advice oh oracle of UK living. Oh! How could I have been so wrong these many years? You should move to India and open a temple, all the celebs will flock there.

Good thing you didn't actually read my entire post ands decided to act like a bloody 12yo the second you saw a foreigner say something about the UK.
Grow up. And check your facts.
Also, I do know. I've lived in the UK, been to Sweden recently and paid extra attention to process of pretty much everything because everyone always says it's more expensive than NL. But sure, I know nothing. So how long have you lived outside the UK?

Except he's right and you're wrong. The UK is cheaper for quite a few things, actually. I'd know because I've used mail order to buy stuff from the UK since 1993 and I still buy stuff from the UK all the time because it's cheaper than anywhere else so fuck off with your attitude.
And yes, your food is WAY cheaper a lot of the time. I actually help design and modify the labels for UK food (Morrisons, Sainsbury, Coop, etc. etc.) and the prices are easily half of what we pay.

Half is also an exaggeration red_avatar. Some things maybe, but not the basics like bread and butter. They're still cheaper than either NL or BE though.
But hey, what do I know. Clearly having lived in the UK and working with 20-odd Brits on a day to day basis is not enough for me to call out the bullshit about "paying way over the mark".

I will be voting for opting out. The UK has more than enough cash, technological advancement and democracy to run itself without the EU. I can say that this "free" movement within the EU is what damages the UK's economy and living conditions. Nevertheless, hope the outcome of the referendum will be in the best interest of the country.

Yup, none of the blame goes to the actual politicians running the country. No worries though, works like that everywhere. Somehow these cunts always get the 'get out of jail card' for some reason.

I meant half for the stuff that I make labels for - not for everything of course. Lots of large 1L cans have prices of 69p and so on for which we'd easily pay €2 here in Belgium. Vegetables seem to be quite a bit cheaper on the whole.
But besides that, the UK had very good hardware & software prices for a loooooong time. It was common for a brand new game to be released for £25 - €32 at the moment - while any store here asked for €45-50 at the very lowest. Even now at £30 a game, prices are still lower than what we pay retail except that I just use cdkey stores now which are even cheaper.

What is so funny about that article?
It is a BBC article and thus a British view.
