Greatly enjoyed the game, despite it being very short.
I was having fun with the Challenges, but my PC crashed and now the game won't start. (Black screen, 33% cpu usage)
Reinstalling doesn't fix it. Guess my save is fucked and I'm SOL.
Still, I would recommend the isodemo to everyone. It's not worth the full price, but it's fun as hell.
i wouldnt, firewatch had a great story that was insanely well told. a little on the pricey side, but more deserving of its price than supernot
So Firewatch with NO gameplay but GOOD story is worth buying while Superhot with GREAT gameplay but (arguably) NO story isn't?
I don't know about you but the very minimum I require from any game I play is that it has gameplay mechanics. Story is of course important as well but a game without gameplay mechanics is not a game, it's just a slightly more interactive visual novel... Which isn't necessarily wrong as such. I enjoyed Firewatch but I think Superhot is good in its own respect.
it did have gameplay... just because the gameplay involved walking around and interacting with the environment, doesnt mean it had NO gameplay... I mean what do average games have that firewatch didn't, other than being able to shoot things?
Superhot has a really neat mechanic (no one is debating that I think, and i've certainly said it enough times), but i just feel the dev did nothing with it.. and having played the prototype AGES ago, the mechanics arent as fresh and exciting any more for me as they will be for others i guess...
Very short with a weird story, and some small keyboard throwing to the screen
Dunno why all the hype. Challenges and stuff?, sure, but i'm here for the main story

Despite much ballyhooing about it on their official Twitter account I had managed to completely ignore Superhot getting reimagined as a card game in collaboration with designer Manuel Correia and then successfully funded on Kickstarter. So consider this a rather penitent catch-up post as a result of starting to trawl through the entries on an unrelated Superhot/ModDB competition! Okay, so Superhot has been reimagined as a card game, but what does that actually amount to? Let’s have a poke around…
My first reaction was that this isn’t the strangest idea in the world, given the game’s main conceit is that time moves when you do, so playing cards to move the action along would perhaps approximate that bullet-time sensation in some way. Obviously that’s a bit wiffly for a funding pitch so the Kickstarter actually says:
Quote:
“Hand-crafted, micro-deckbuilding mechanics will immerse you in the ever-changing, visceral, and iconic fight sequences of SUPERHOT. Every turn and every move is an intense snapshot of lethal combat frozen in motion. Your decisions and your execution dictate the pace of the game. Daredevil maneuvers and risk-taking can reward you greatly or exact harsh punishment.
“Every card you play advances the timeline. You shoot a guy’s head off. Enemies pour into the room. A shower of bullets fills the air. The clock is ticking.”
