Why is it crap to have non-mechanical? I've owned the g19 since it came out and it still works perfectly as if it was completely new. For the record, that's +6 years. Razz

That was my thought as well, before I got one. Wink
For me the deciding factor was that for some reason a lot of shift keys on the logitech boards were almost always tröga (as I can't remember the english word for it). This doesn't happen on mechanical boards for example. ^_^

Ah, I guess I don't suffer from that problem then, I do press keys very hard (not on purpose) though. Razz As for the word 'tröga', I believe the word you're looking for is sluggish. Smile Could also be inert but I think inert is more for when something can't be moved or when it's motionless?

You're right, it was the word sluggish I was looking for. ^_^
But that was just the deciding factor for trying a mechanical board, now I wouldn't go back (not as important to me as a good mouse though) to a membran one.
And now there are like a ton of boards (even on massdrop) and keys for a little bit more then the G-keyboards from logitech.

Once you go black, you never go back.

Owait, wrong topic

Same applies to mechanical keyboards though, they are just so much superior to regular crap.

I'm not sure I could even go to MX Red now having used Blues, friend has MX Red switches and they just don't feel right.

@Yondaime

Well, they do feel more better and more responsive and you're right that it is subjective.
The keys themselves are also easier to pop out of their 'sockets' to clean them and easier to replace and customize.
I honestly can't give you any specifics but when I was comparing on buying a G19 or the corsair K90, the K90 was cheaper (it was only lacking the LCD display othrwise it had the same features). Very Happy

They feel a LOT better, not just maybe. Especially after you have used them for quite a bit and try a regular keyboard after.

Also I enjoy these Blue switches so much cause I type rather quick, I think I can understand why the blue ones are meant for typing.

Imo those wannabe "gaming keyboards" are just a massive scam and a waste of money, you can just aswell buy a 5€ Logitech keyboard which will work just as long.
