Truth be told, this hyper-rage isn't all that bad. Surely disproportional to the stimuli, it still serves a very important biological function, which many otherwise mentally weak people turn into depression.

Basically it's in our nature to be angry at times, as ye olde man would have to find bark and defend bark from enraged bear. The psychological rage would trigger production of effective neurotransmitters, thus temporarily making ye olde man stronger or otherwise more likely to survive the enraged bear. Seeing as how ye olde man is only a fairy tale now, or at least an ominous reality in some country far-far away, the physical pressure of modern life is diminished. Instead we try to find deeper meanings, and, on completely failing, fall into various depressions. Rage is a modest alternative.

You could have just said that the stress response is generally counterproductive now. But I guess you were going for that pretentious look.

You could have just *sigh*-ed, but you had to write two sentences to bust my chops. So you are either a hypocrite, or expressing an idea with more then a sentence isn't pretentious. Which one is it? =)

I couldn't have just written one word, because you wouldn't have understood why I was criticizing your post.

Obviously you misunderstand the meaning of the word pretentious, otherwise you would know it has little relation to volume.
