Don't know why it took them so long to bring their own into the market but I'm glad they did. Can't get much better than EK.

Had 360 on pre order but you can only add 1 gpu block so I had to cancel my pre order Neutral

They aren't going to support multiple gpu's at all.

Well, if you got the money for multi gpu, you generally should be going custom water.

Eh no. And it's not just about money, it's a lot of work and a lot of maintenance for some theoretical or very minor improvement. Not worth the hassle.

Kill coil + PT Nuke and you can run the water for a few years before ever having to touch it but I do agree on the time it takes to build it. Took me two days to do my last one. Was a blast though.

Just pre-ordered my 240 last night and EK sent me an email this morning that it's already on the way Very Happy Those who pre-order are getting it before anyone else is able to. Supposed to be here Monday :'D

Damn. Probably the pump is too weak for two GPUs. Sad

I don't think that that should be an issue. Let's wait and see how much customizable it will be after all.

Please link some 360's reviews?

Guru's really the only one who reviews it so far and it was a pointless review. They didn't compare the heat to the dB of the fans. Ya the Corsair also shows a couple C better temps but how fast were the fans spinning and how loud?

Also this isn't overpriced. This is EK, you want premium water cooling quality, you buy EK, there isn't anyone above them when it comes to water. I'll trust EK over Corsairs stupid shit with their shit link system with their squealy pump issues they have more often than not.

As much as you want it to be. EK over on OCN has been talking to us about it and they made it with the intentions that their customers may want to open it up and play around with different configurations.

They included the QDC on the 360 for those who aren't interested in dicking around with it and just wanna get the GPU add on.

Supporting multiple GPU would be pointless since a 360 isn't enough to cool a cpu + gpu + gpu properly. People buy all in ones to free themselves of the cost of going custom but still get good performance. Adding all these accessories like extra radiators and supporting more than 1 gpu wouldn't be worth the cost on their end since it wouldn't sell as well for the price people would have to dish out.

Not happening as of right now. Maybe one day, two revisions later.

But for now, I still just stick with X61 and X31x2 for my cards.

I understand but I wouldn't mind buying additional 240/360 radiator to make cpu+gpu+gpu effective. Which, I don't it's going to work either.

Let's say you buy EK-Predator 360 x2 and two GPU blocks. How would all that connect together?

take the QDC off that come with it and buy some aftermarket ones. Koolance makes some really nice ones, I used to have them.

As with most other ones, just modify it if you want, little more work and defeats the purpose but it's an option.

From stock cooler to this dropped about 20C.

Playing Dying Light would hit around 70c. Think I maxed out at like 54c now.

I gotta do research and so forth into oc'ing this cpu cause I'm not quite understanding the temps on this...they're balls high but I'm also not used to intel.

Stock OC is 4.4 and IBT and Prime hit like 87C under load.

You are getting high temps because of the shitty TIM (in 4790K case its the excessive use of glue between heatspreader and PCB so its not getting good enough contact). Welcome to the days where you need delid your high end intel CPU. Personally i got lucky with the CPU, cant get that kind of temps even with high OC.

Whatever happened to peltier-tech? As time has passed, new tech developed I'd thought some new upgraded peltier cooling would keep CPU's and/or GPU's below 40C at full load. I guess not. :8

he probably got a bad batch, its known.

My i7 r4790k right now is at 4.5ghz @1.175v 36c idle and 58-60 on heavy load games.

Oh stock fucking cooler till I get the evo 212 hyper. Which can drop you 15c, its hadly even worth risking having water if you have a good cpu. What is amusing is I can probably even lower the voltage more, I started at 1.25 and so far I am amazed how low this thing is going.

What the hell man, it is a known issue on 4790K that the glue between IHS and CPU itself can have bad application, this results in higher temperatures since the IHS is not getting proper contact to the CPU core. TIM itself is good on devils canyon, but application of glue can be shit.

Yes removing and re applying is done for those that have heat issues, that was my point. The IHS fix is not needed on all batches of I7 4790k's. the people that do the IHS like that are either those wanting to reach silly clocks for bench macho shit or those that just can not get the idle temps in a normal respectable area also alongside a small overclock of up to say 4.8ghz.

Like fuck would I be taking a razorblade to my cpu if my temps where high with a bought cooler, I would be replacing the cpu until a better one off the production line was attained.

thats good to know for those that do this then lol, I have only ever seen some muppet use a rusty razor blade and pry off the corners first of glue and then the middle edges, I cringed while watching. Very Happy
