Not sure about your keyboard, but my keyboard got these advanced keys. One of them says "Del" (which is short for Delete), the other one got a arrow pointing left (also known as backspace button). They both delete marked text, and it's much quicker to use than to right click -> delete.

I hate you.

Hi Don,

Thanks for stopping by the Chrome help forum. We recently updated this in Chrome 47 in the right-click menu (called the context menu) in Chrome which the delete feature among other features in the context menus were removed to simply Chrome's menus. In the meantime, you can easily delete text by hitting the "delete" or "backspace" key on your keyboard.

(Kinda like with Youtube then eh? Oh you needed/used this feature? Too bad! )

Try washing your keyboard with soap.
Your method works fine if paste is gone but for delete you have to actually prepare a luke warm soap bath and rest the keyboard in it for at least 2-5 minutes. As additional benefit you can use the same soap water afterwards to wash your motherboard. Gently pour the water through the power supply fan openings into the case and don't forget to do this while the fans are spinning.
