Idiots acting like I dont know how to change graphic settings in some game. Instead of posting sarcastic fucking messages how about actually trying to post something helpful.

I play all my games at 1280x1024. This game including the other POP games wont let me change the res any higher.

SO! Let me ask again. Maybe someone with half a brain stem will post somethiing useful this time.

Is there any other way to change the res of the game without actually having to change it in the game. Like in BF2 I could change the res without loading the game up.

And BTW. Im not the only person with this problem.

if your monitor supports that rez then i dunno realy cause fact is fact there is HARDWARE.INI file but i guess u can't play with it

Thats what I dont understand. My monitor does support 1280x1024. Hell I can play FEAR at that res. But even FEAR wont let change the res to 1280x1024. I have to change it in the registry, then FEAR plays at 1280x1024.

Theres got to be some kind of way to change it in the registry, but I cant find it.

NOTE: That every other game I play is at 1280x1024. It's only POP that wont let me change it to that.

I'll try that hardware.ini see if that works.

Actually Ive got a Viewsonic VX924 LCD...btw..incredible quality for gaming.

My native resolution is 1280x1024 up to 75 herz.

So maybe the game itself dosint support higher then 1280x960. Thats the highest I can go also.

It really looks amazing even on those settings. Anyways Im sure the problem is not your Monitor but the game itself beeing limited to that max resolution.

Well the Hardware.ini file worked. It had my res at 1280x1024 but that option would not show up on the graphic settings. So I changed it to 1280x960 And that res shows up on the screen. I guess the game does not support 1280x1024. Which is retarded. Im not the only person either. Others cannot get the game to run at 1280x1024. Anyways. Atleast it's close enough.

there is a thread about this in the technical forum. please keep the technical stuff there I'll have a mini-review for the game tomorrow, haven't played enough to give you one yet. The graphics are great and the gameplay is just as great as in SoT and WW. Haven't played as the dark prince yet, so nothing to report there.

All latest drivers and Bios but i tried older Forceware wich did not help.

try reinstalling DTools 4.. it worked for me..

Damn, I am so tempted to download this game but I know I will end up disliking the game after 10 minutes. Anybody know if there is a demo coming out soon so I dont have to d/l 4 GB to try this game.

I dont know man. I loved the first game. Played for quite a well till the combat became a hassle. I loved the platform puzzles but the fighting was too much for me. Then I tried WW, which just started out with a fight. The tutorial mission was just combat and I stopped playing it immediately. From what I hear this is more of the same. Had it been more platformer like the old POP, I would have enjoyed it but I have grown beyond button mashers of all types.

The game kicks ass. So far the story/presentation isn't as good as The Sands of Time, but I consider that game one of the best I've ever played. The Warrior Within was decent and I've always enjoyed the combat in the series, so I don't downplay it as much as some. But The Two Thrones is a return to form in terms of the right amount of combat and platforming. Gone is the nu-metal soundtrack and gruff voice acting of the Prince in WW. Now there is kick ass chariot racing and boss battles similiar to that in God of War. My only complaint so far is the inclusion of the Dark Prince story wise. He seems out of place and only included for the purpose of appealing to the crowd who eats up anything 'badass.' Maybe the story will explain him further and give him more purpose later on.

ok.. now i'm finished.. i will not spoil.. it is kinda satisfying to end it.. but i've heard that there are 2 endings(like WW).. and they say that you get to fight the Dark Prince.. at the end.. i had a little something with the dark prince.. but i did not fight him.. ill search for more info on this.. great game.. and for the record.. there isn't a better prince of persia than an other. they all are great.. end of story.. Sands of Time is cool.. WW is based on fighting and TTT is based on the story+speed killing.. each has it's own ups and downs.. and overall they all are the same.. i'd give this series a 8.7/10 being the best series of games around and i don't think that any other series that we have now on our PCs can go past 9..
