As did I and everyone else who where a bit late with redeeming their free key it seems, how unfortunate but I'm hoping it'll be fixed shortly.
(But I might have to email them and have it sorted out manually.)

Oh and if it rejects you when you check if you can get a free key make sure the Steam account is public, system can't read your list of games otherwise.
(Same with e.g SteamDB if you want it to highlight games you own.)

I still don't understand what the hell the "final cut" is.

Is it the trilogy combined into one long ass game now, or completely new areas/mobs/etc?

Both? It's the trilogy combined and streamlined into a single coherent game, with new classes, new gear, new mobs. I don't know if it has new AREAS though.

- Hidden Content unlock only counts if Host unlocks it
- When killing certain creatures, they refuse to die for a short time
- Lobby - Show all - List disappear

Balance

- Easter Eggs give different amount of stats to different classes
- Changing the difficulty has no effect in special places

That will work but if so I'd recommend getting the third game when it's on a huge discount, winter sales are coming up soon I believe so it's probably not too long of a wait though a third party key site might be cheaper still if you could get it for a fiver or some such. Smile
(Would be better than a 60% discount or whatever Neocore might have done for those owning two of the games.)

EDIT: Though if you aren't interested in the online modes and "end game" content you could also just download it, unless Neocore starts doing bi-daily updates like happened with the original three games although at least they are supporting the game well after release though I read that some long standing issues were never fixed.
(So far this has gotten one patch and there's a lot of discussion on the forums concerning unbalanced enemy types so there will probably be a balance patch coming soon though it should be possible to grab the update files from peer releases like 3DM or Ali213 or just the Cs.Rin.Ru community instead of waiting for "real" scene releases of said updates.)

i am more inclined that they will stop offering VH1 to 3 at some point - as Final Cut is pretty much "definitive edition of the trilogy" - so you will not be able to get the one(s) you miss to get the full trilogy to be able to get FC for free

Quests
    Fixed an issue where Fulmigati died on his own. Now he puts up quite a fight.
    Fixed the Challenge progress track, the game now tracks your progress correctly.
    Nutty Stefan now rewards you if you give him the Bunny Slayer.
    The arena countdown now works properly.
    The Gas Projector can always be destroyed from now on.

Skills
    Hex Shot is now a Poison skill.
    Fixed a missing tooltip for the Scarecrow's Invulnerability spell.

Items
    Fixed the Crit Chance on the Orichalcum Shirt.
    Greater Quintessence now gives the proper bonuses.
    Greater Material essence now has a proper description.
    Fixed a minor issue with the Dodge enchant.

Multiplayer
    Quick Connect has been fixed and now works with refreshed lobby data.
    Fixed various connection issues where players got stuck on pinging.
    Removed the Region Filter.

Scenarios
    Greater Treasure Chest now scales with Gold Find bonus.
    Daily quests now show up correctly.
    Fate point rewards are now correctly given.

Balance
    Fixed the scaling of Essences.
    Ghostly Mirage no longer scales with the difficulty level.
    Fixed the damage of all toy soldiers.
    Suicidal Domovoy's health has been reduced significantly.

You can always buy the third game on steam, get your final cut code, then ask for a steam refund. That's what I did.
It's a bit of a grey zone, because you are getting it cheaper than those that bought all 3, but it's their fault for not being true to their promises.

That they put the original game there which consist one third of an improved version. They might try to pull the same thing on Xbox (release 3 old versions separately, then the combined version after that).
