Through this month and last, The Oliver Twins have been hinting at a brand new Dizzy game that was to be revealed on Saturday 24th October at the Cambridge‏ show. Well today right on cue, we have got the latest scoop that this game is actually called ' Wonderland Dizzy ' and you can play it right now! But before we lead you towards this fine place of gaming fun, let us talk a bit about how this game came to be.
*facepalms* That's just Magicland Dizzy. Are the Oliver Twins now suffering from amnesia or something?
It may have similarities but it's not the same style of gameplay!
Play both of them and see
From what I can see, this is 80% identical. It's still silly to dub this as some long lost Dizzy adventure.
If you ask me, this game never got released because the Oliver Twins left behind the Amiga at the time to focus on consoles, believing they could make their fortune there but in reality, Dizzy was too slow a game for consoles so it kinda failed. After that, they called Dizzy quits and this adventure was most likely a remnant of their previous work which then got made into Magicland Dizzy for the collection they were selling at the time. Seems like Wonderland was the original game they were going for so it's basically Magicland with a few extra screens and characters. Not a "forgotten game" by any stretch of the imagination.
