that doesn't make sense

check if all executables related to Rogue are closed after you exit the game

Everything is closed, i checked multiple times. I had a strange issue with ACIII as well, after closing i would always have to restart steam, cause all games complained that they need steam in order to run, even if it was running already.

if you are running yarr steam emu acIII while steam is running that causes that, yea. had that a few times. best to not have steam on while playing steam emu games.

As for the mouse, very likely mouse driver related if you have some gamer mouse with special drivers.

Its a Perixx MX-2000II with software for it, but even disconnecting and reconnecting it doesnt fix stuff, only a reboot does. So far ive only had issues with Payday 2 afterwards though.

There is a similar issue where mouse won't work anymore in Skyrim after you play Watchdogs, have to restart system. Never been able to figure it out; some say that Ubi has something fucked up that does not release properly mouse controller...

Are we suposed to kill every guard on those small posts/ports? Cause they obviously dont atack you, and once you kill the first one, the post doesnt go on alert either, and none of them try to kill you, is that the AI that is crazy bad or is it suposed to be like that?

You actually are free to kill civilians in Rogue as well, you just get a bounty, pretty cool.

Recorded some max settings footage (1080p, 60FPS) with SweetFX enabled (SMAA, Lumasharpen). Game looks rather ugly, like it was made betweeen AC3 and Black Flag :/

You should downsample if you have a decent video card, it looks nice at 4k, but yeah, I agree that graphics-wise it´s somewhere in between AC3 and AC4, or ACL and AC4.

Finished it. It's worse than Black Flag despite having a more coherent story. The locations were pretty bland and the newish mechanics failed to entertain me enough.

One thing that I noticed is how the whole assassin vs templar struggle is dependant on the player character. Assassins had this huge sprawling organisation in the colonies. Here comes Shane Patrick Cormac and manages to kill ALL of them during the time we control him. Then as soon as we stop controlling him the Templar order gets wiped out by Connor. Smile

Just Cause 2 (99.95% bug, missing 3 weapon and vehicle parts or whatever it was, probably as a reward for the final mission), Crysis 2 (99.76%, missing pistol attachment bug)

Lots of other games sometimes miss things that are not in the final stats, like Ground Zeroes is missing 1 Japanese-only cassette tape, Quake 2 -- 93/94 secrets, in Tomb Raider (from '96) one of the downloadable mission packs sometimes doesn't count a secret in Atlantis or Thief 2 (60/59 secrets, but 29711/29781 loot).

Once Master Kenway appeared on the scene, I cannot put the game down to see how it ends.

Since I still had the game installed (for some unknown reason) I said what the hell, might as well complete the endless Ass collection and finish this one too. It wasn't that bad as far as the AssCreed games go Everything Went Better Than Expected

One thing is for sure, it was more entertaining than its special cousin Unité, despite bringing nothing new to a franchise that needs a complete overhaul, and again proposing the old combat system where dying is an impossible task (the combat was probably the only thing that Unity "improved", when the main character wouldn't stab himself with the unsynced animations).

Still, being a Templar was nice for a change, the story didn't suck (I liked the various references and recurring characters, including the ending), and the yarr boat combat from Black Flag was alright as usual. The graphics suffered from cheapness and missing effects from the prehistoric gen, though nothing too dramatic (using some reshade does help). So yep, if you don't mind some mundane time-wasting one-button sauce, it's okay at what it does.

Completed it last night and it was a nice surprise ( story wise ), i really enjoyed it, enjoyed the appearance of previous games' characters, some references, good overall.

Stick to the main story, no monkey business. What I also liked ( more than Unity ), is that i could pickup weapons, bodies, use human shields, etc.

Yep, I finished it before GTA V took over me. I enjoyed it more than Black Flag, and am now up to only having Unity to play through, if we don't count the milky side games like chronicles.

It didn't have 3 billion tail and eavesdrop missions like black flag, and overall, there was quite a variety in locales and missions, which was enough to keep me and my trusty sidekick derpy mcderpad entertained during its short 6 sequence affair.

It also helped that by this time, I was so sick of tower climbing, boat fighting, and other previously seen and continually engaged in activities, that I stuck to the main story and native cave explorations only. But even the side activites, were polished up compared to black flag, and didn't feel as tedious. For example, the ship boarding was much faster, as the little cannon had a ton of bullets, never requiring actual boarding and clunky combat.

Wait for a Humble/Gamersgate/Amazon sale. I've seen for a day Rogue Deluxe at 15 euro at Amazon dot com (their Summer sale). Unfortunately, that happened after i went ballistic on GOG summer sale Very Happy

30 euro, it's a wee bit too much for this.

I just finished this and I really liked it. It's strange, it's obvious that this was something made on the side, while Unity was being hyped up. Game is rather ugly on the technical side, it brings almost nothing new as well. At the same time though, they actually put quite some effort into its story, characters (Shay was really awesome), locations and just making a huge number of nice connections to the other games (including Unity, heh, kind of interesting seeing kid Arno out of nowhere).

I still have stuff to do, mostly in River Valley. I might end up doing everything if Unity is not playable for me (downloading now to try).

I've been playing this for some hours, it is indeed better than Unity as a game. Unity is far superior technically and Paris is beautiful, but this one has everything else. It's much more fun and engaging compared to Unity. I've been avoiding this one since I thought it would be shit, but if you like AC give it a chance.
While I do like it and it's fun, I'll finish this one and never touch an AC game again. I'm tired of doing the same shit every year.

You are tired of doing same shit every year, but Unity, that is the odd one out when compared to all other AC games, is less fun and engaging than a full priced DLC to black flag, that is already a rehash of AC 3, that's a rehash of every other AC Philosopheraptor

Does not compute. Laughing

IMO, Unity demolishes this in every single aspect, from art to gameplay.
