You mean 250 huehuehuehueheus Very Happy

But yeah, shipping games with denuvo without any kind of pre-release information regarding that is just a cunt move, and unfortunately I can see greedimax joining the ranks of shit companies like WB and konami in this regard Sad

Denuvo would probably destroy script extenders and with it some really good modding capability

Script extenders will be verboten anyway since consoles wouldn't be able to run those, and it wouldn't do for the PC to have better mods than the shitboxes.

Skyrim didn't have official modding support on consoles though, did it? The whole point of delaying the FO4 mod tools is they plan to have console mod support.

I think Wasteland 2 has shown what it could be like to have a nice, detailed, 3D world.. whilst still keeping the "old" aesthetic and gameplay. I'm eager to return when the upgraded version comes out Very Happy

@Epsilon

Haha, sorry Very Happy Still, damned impressive rendition no?

@blackdochia

FO3 ranks up there as one of my all-time favourite games, I'm all over FO4 the instant I can get it. If it's Denuvo, I'll wail and gnash my teeth and probably sell my 3DS just to get the money to buy it.

Well, i definitely prefer what Obsidian did in New Vegas. Don't get me wrong, i like to wander through Fo3, i just never gave a damn about anything else than the exploration.

My ideal modern Fo3 would be a mix between Fo3 and NV. But, dammit, Wasteland 2 felt a lor more closer of the Fallout feel than Bethesda's titles. Sad

I didn't mean Skyrim had mod support for consoles
I meant that before Bethestha confirmed otherwise, there were people on forums around the net (I remember it distinctly) saying they would probably drop mod support on PC so that "console versions didn't look bad".

Which is what you were saying, and it turned out to be false in the case of Skyrim. So I am right.
Now, will it be the same for FO4? That we don't know yet, what I'm saying is that there's no need to spread rumors based on nothing just to fuel the usual pc vs console bickering.

No, that is not what I was saying. External modding tools, such as SKSE for example, need access to the executable itself - they're a completely different beast from regular mods that are just plugins to the game itself. IF Fallout 4 is going to be using Denuvo, there's a very good chance that tools such as those are out of the question, simply due to how Denuvo works. And it'd conveniently also for the most part mean modding parity between consoles and PC.

They could always run Denuvo for a month or two to maximise early sales before patching it out. They aren't releasing the toolset until next year, which they could claim is the beginning of "sanctioned" modding. Seems unlikely, but who knows these days.

No mod tools until next year?! Fuck it... I won't be touching this without a slower levelling and proper lighting mod.

Minor tweaks like altering the xp gain rate should be possible even without GECK unless they've considerably altered the way the game files work.

February, I think. I'm sure modders aren't going to just sit around patiently until then though, so no doubt we'll see some community tools beforehand. Unless Bethesda try something like the aforementioned Denuvo cock-block.

It's during this stage of development that we start thinking about how we'll support Fallout 4 after launch. We wanted to give you a taste of what we plan on doing:

We'll be doing regular free updates to the game, and like Skyrim, these will come with not just fixes, but new features. For Skyrim we added things like mounted combat, legendary mode, kill cams, visual enhancements and more. We’ll work with all of you to figure out what new things you’d love to see added to Fallout 4, whether they are small tweaks or new features.

Quote:
We've always done a lot of DLC for our games. We love making them and you always ask us for more. To reward our most loyal fans, this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30. Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you'll get it all with the Season Pass.

Hmm..

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Pretty straightforward and brave doing that (Season Pass), remains to be seen if it's worth it. If they're anything like FO3 or Beth tries doing great stuff like Obsidian did for NV I'm sure it's worth the bucks.

I see a lot of negativity around 4 so even the reactions to the SP isn't really anything new. We'll know for sure in November.
