Will this game have a SP campaign, I mean a meaningful story?
And on the KS page they say "multiplayer top-down, party-based...", but they mean isometric top down as the screenshots show?

It'll be like the first one. A proper SP campaign with companions but with the option to play it MP/Coop.

Also yeah, the game's isometric.

Heh those two skeletons in the catacombs in Divine Divinity still make me chuckle.

Well a skeleton has no flesh to rot, so there should be no odour... in fact, there'd be less odour from me than their would from you, all that armour, all that exertion in combat, all the blood and the sweat stench. Razz

... besides, I don't want to co-op with anyone, so there! \o/

Even to this day they still make me laugh, especially their voices/accents, and I *loved* the little nod to the scene in Divinity 2 Ego Draconis Very Happy There's a friendly skeletal merchant at the top of Lovis' tower, he'll sell you gear.. but you can also ask him how his bones are kept together, he panics and begs you to stop talking.

I recommend not continuing to ask questions Laughing

Meanwhile prices went up a bit for the original when the KS for the sequel started it seems.
But I love games with humor, dancing skeletons. Very Happy

DoS was a great game, at least at the start, after mid/high lvl the game was broken and thus the fun ended.

I hope they will focus on balance of spells/ability's much more, there was very easy to find combos that where OP.

If they manage to fix this then it will be an epic game, but i believe it when i see it and hope for the best until then Smile

Meh, until Original Sin 2 I want to play the first game, "enhanced". They are surely taking their time with it.

They should put gay romance as a stretch goal to bring in the Bioware fan money. And put it as the very last goal so that if it fails we still get the other stuff.

Dedicated mod support? wtf does that mean?
PS I thought DOS would have lots of mods but, alas, it seems something went wrong..

1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB

2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

GOG.com has joined the Divinity: Original Sin 2 Kickstarter backers as a Divine Noble - backing us with 10,000$ - which means they get to design a character that'll go in the game. What'll they be called, I wonder? Good Ol' Greg? Greta of Garmond? The Guardian of Game? Post your suggestions below, let them know yourselves!

hahaha! GOG (or rather, CDP) backed the Original Sin 2 kickstarter at the $10k level Very Happy

I don't know why more developers, indie or otherwise, don't do this. There's nothing stopping a publisher or developer dropping a chunk of change on promising Kickstarter campaigns .. and, indeed, $10k for someone like GOG is chump change. It makes a great gesture, gets a fun little nod to GOG in the game (like Gottfried's Omni-opening Grimoire in Witcher 3 Very Happy) and bumps the campaign and stretch goals closer to completion.

For awhile there's been jokes at RPG Codex about Larian hiring Chris Avellone, I'm surprised they actually did.
