Yes, of course it will still log how much you played, but can't report it to steam due to firewall (if it could, it would effectively invalidate your right for refund once playtime surpassed 2 hours).

But steam stores it in it's own local db somewhere, and possibly on other multiple locations. I doubt a company like steam didn't think this through and let such simple methods work.
Possibly if you buy it and play it offline, fully unplug your internet and use another machine to refund it once you're done. That's the only possible way I can think of, but it I still think that once they go and actually check up once your account is connected back, they could sue you for fraud as no doubt, steam will have that playtime stored somewhere.

They'll just stop giving you refunds if they think you are abusing it.

One shouldn't buy it on main account, it's a common sense.
Copy steam.exe to new folder and create new account for this shady stuff. That's what I do. Works great (haven't tried with MGS, as it's too new, i'll rather wait few months for fixes/dlc).

Yeah that looks stupid, maybe they all using very easy mode as most reviewers are dumb shits when it comes to playing games?

I don't think I've seen a difficult setting, you do have the option of using a chicken mask though which renders you invisible to enemies up to three times.
(IE they spot you more than three times and they will detect you.)
EDIT: I could just have missed it though, now I have to check.

I've watched about two hours of gameplay on Youtube since I have no desiire to play through another MGS game and it looks boring as fuck so far. If the whole gameplay stays the same (stealth sneaking) then I have no idea where all these amazing 10/10 are coming from. Even the graphics look kind of average, especially that PS2 era grass and blurry textures. Sutherland barely talks, CODEC is replaced by "audio recordings", we have another silent character. The story must be really good for it to earn such praise.
I just can't see why everyone's so excited...

You dont like stealth then fuck yourself its that simple. As a stealth story game it is great no doubt about it. And graphics in 1080p are horrible yes but in 3000 res or 4k it looks pretty good. The aliasing was horrible in GZ though extremely shit. Thats why 3000 res is minimum!

There's a difference between good stealth and bad stealth in games. Good stealth means there's no other option to complete the mission than just to be stealthy. If you can drop the stealth and just start killing everyone to eventually complete the mission, then it's bad stealth. I don't know the asnwer yet, but the question is, can you succeed without being steathy or not in MGS5?

@Max
Can't you just stay away, we really don't have a need for a 5 year old repeating the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

@Meseder: Well ehm in most games you can shoot your way through more or less but the question is: is it fun? Hitman Absolution shooting was a lot easier. Fuck that game.
Here you gotta get shit out of the areas extract the shit so stealth is a good option I guess. Better than fucking around.
In Ground Zeroes there were soo many enemies I never felt the need to just shoot my fucking way through?! Unlike in Hitman Absolution it was the only way to end that shitgame.
@Morph: I just tried the ignore function with you. And all I can say is: wtf? Why not just ignore me? Its sooo relaxing and refreshing aint that a good option? I dont understand why not....a little empty space between posts doesnt hurt. Not one fucking bit.

Same here, got ingame meter shows its 60 all the time. Vsync + gsync are on.
When both are disabled it's the same thing.

Because: even on ignore, you still litter the thread with a post every minute.
And seeing it is just you constantly repeating what you already have said, there is no need for it.
Besides isn't it time to grow up just a little bit already? Or are you just that kind of an idiot that enjoys creating a new account every few weeks?

I havent had any SLI issues with any kind of game so far, nor i ever had microstuttering.
The game runs smooth, but it doesnt feel like 60+ fps.
