He's right though, if I have to wait long before I can play cracked games again, I might have to start selling weed again so I can just buy them

cos if not i planned to buy this anyway |
Just very difficult to crack, most games that used it went at least 6++ months before any sign it could be cracked.

Jesus christ people if you are so eager to play these denuvo games, just buy them, install, play, quit, switch steam to offline, firewall everything (game and steam) and ask for refund... Gaben gave you all the tools to play games for free officially, use them
Oh and make sure to state refund reason is Denuvo DRM. The more people refusing DRM, the better. Also it is nowhere written on steam product page this is protected by Denuvo so it'd be a valid reason for refund anyway.

I like it so far, sure it's cutscene - gameplay - cutscene and it plays as if it was episodic with intro and outro credits every time you complete a chapter but the game is very solid so far.
Once you finish the first two missions and can start taking on side objectives and develop the base the game really opens up, been running around extracting all sorts of things via those balloon things and there's a lot of terrain although depending on your current mission (Which are also replayable should you miss a objective or want to try for a higher rank.) anyway there's borders around where you can and can't go but that probably changes later on or at least expands.
AI is "OK-ish" I guess, they can take a fair number of hits unless it's a headshot as can Snake plus you have health-regen though healing is required if you take serious damage, the AI soldiers will also investigate noise and there's various alert levels so you can stealth your way through objectives or just shoot everyone.
(AI also doesn't have that much of a view distance and FOV and unless you disable it you get a slow-mo reaction shot scene where you can just shoot the soldier that saw you if you get detected at close distance.)
Looks about the same as Ground Zeroes but on a much larger scale and with more varied weather pattern though as the GeForce.com guide points out screen space reflections appear to have been axed completely.
Lots of collectibles too such as cassettes for unlocking music, various materials you use for your base and also plants and gems for research and basic funding.
And yeah there's a lot of cutscenes but I think they're pretty well done even though the intro might be a bit lengthy to some, rest of them (at least so far.) are usually on the shorter side. (The intro cinematic also focuses on the chest and ass areas of various NPC's for some reason, might sound nice at first but staring at some dudes bare butt-crack throughout the prologue gets a bit weird after some time. )
(Otherwise I liked the intro even though I understood less than half of it or so it felt like.)
Spoiler: |
Flaaaming whaale!!! and some unicorn horse too and some dude that looked like Nemesis from RE3 but deep fried and then Psycho manTits or what to call that.
(And Revolver Ocelot shows up from nowhere like a semi-queer cowboy on a white stallion.)
|
EDIT: Lots of stuff to research too from new weapons to camo patterns and support items, probably entirely new outfits and different prosthetic limbs too.
EDIT: Framerate is around 50 - 55 with everything on but I'm running the game at 2880x1800 and there's no profile for the game yet for AMD GPU's (Or well, in the current display drivers.) as far as I know, Nvidia users can optionally also force HBAO+ and disable the (poor but fast) screen-space AO the game otherwise uses.

You know it's not the connection that records your playtime but the actual steam running in the background (which is needed to run the game in the first place)... So doing all that, still makes ZERO difference in playtime showing.

Once they get the file system cracked open on Xentax and a unpacker becomes available I'm hoping this is one of the first mods we'll see.
(The one for Ground Zeroes won't work as the format is a bit different or perhaps just a different decryption key, will also be nice to be able to separate some of the options again such as turning off the post-process AA since I find it too blurry and not all that effective anyway.)
EDIT: Performance comparison.

Topic quality has sunken so low once a certain someone started posting again. Hope he'll be quickly dealt with.

The level of quality is so motherfucking dicksucking low because of Denuvo. A decade ago we would fucking swear and argue nonstop on how to fuck them developer assholes and how to crack and play that shit somehow. Today its just: Fuck you all and buy the fucking great game help the developers to become bigger and better in what the fuck they do like fucking us with empty dvds and extremely fucking safety mechanisms.
I for one cant stand that shit anymore. Fuck them all hard through and through.
I need the fucking game now. Any 15-25€ offers?

What? If you block both steam and the game in firewall, Steam won't know how much you actually played except for the first few minutes that are needed for denuvo "activation".

The steam exe has to run in the background for you being able to play this game, that exe records the other exe uptime (or other ways), but for game time calculations there certainly is no need for ANY connection lol.

Yeah Batman was fast, but even hardline took a few months before it was cracked.
Point still remains though, it's a pain in the ass protection that won't be cracked the same day (most likely... yet...)

Anyone getting weird choppiness, try to disable SLI. I read that's the cause for some people.
