http://community.wbgames.com/t5/Support-for-PC/August-20-Update-on-PC-Version-of-Arkham-Knight/m-p/732470#U732470
Quote: | Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC community,
The teams have been working hard to address the issues with the PC version of the game. We are happy to confirm that we are now putting the first interim patch into testing. If all goes well, we expect to issue the patch in the next few weeks. We’ll be sure to report back in the next two weeks on how the testing is coming along.
Below are some of the major fixes and improvements you can expect in the upcoming patch:
Reduced frame rate hitches
Optimized system memory and VRAM usage
Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
o Min Spec AMD GPU is once again the Radeon HD 7870 2GB
More Robust In-Game Settings, including:
o Added the ability to change settings for Max FPS to 30/60/90
o Added toggles for Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, and Film Grain
o Added a “High” Texture Resolution value
o Added Texture Filtering option
o Added an Adaptive V-Sync option (NVIDIA only)
o Added VRAM Usage Meter
o Added Mouse Sensitivity Slider & Mouse Smoothing Option
Fixed low resolution texture bugs
Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)
While our first priority is fixing the issues listed above, the team is continuing to work on the following:
Skipping the boot up splash screens
DLC/Season Pass content
Additional updates such as Photo Mode
We again thank you for your continued patience as we work on these issues. As always, we are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues.

Well, the patch certainly appears to be addressing most of the main issues... let's see if it comes through.

How fucking difficult can it be to give you the option to skip intro videos?

You can already delete the two video files to disable intro movies, which makes that part of the patch notes even more pathetic.

Well there is no way they enable such option, because of advertisement reasons.
This is the smallest problem though (it can be fixed with simple command in properties tab). So i guess in one month we can have decent release. I already finished it though, but still i can go for 100% (have to collect about 150 riddler crap)

"Working hard" on DLC/Season Pass content. It would be nice if they started unlocking that stuff that is already on consoles for ages now. It even only takes a trainee or something.

You say there is no way because of advertisement purposes, yet here they are working on a way to do it.

Good! Even when considering the stability issues, lack of those options was probably what annoyed me the most.

Absolutely NO. Because after game/OS reinstall the 1st time can actually be Nth time.

Thats because not everyone will get the same performance improvement, if they went out and said "100% increase in FPS!!!!" or something then you'll get people raging over only getting an 80% increase.

well not entirely true, i would EXPECT they are testing the game on multiple systems, so you WOULD be able to get an AVERAGE indication of performance increase, even if its a wide one (30-70% etc)...
but mostly my point is that its INCREDIBLY non-committal, and isn't very indicative of their level of dedication or progress made, either.

Absolutely NO. Because after game/OS reinstall the 1st time can actually be Nth time. |
After ~4hrs of formatting and reinstalling everything, the 30 seconds it takes to see them again, once, must be a real grind. |
Even if those unskippable cutscenes took only 30secs (in reality most of them are much longer) it is NOT an excuse for them to be unskippable. Deal with it.

There is patch already for skipping intro movies, its called "-nologo", just add it to your launch parameters and deal with it. Happy to see that all of the problems are getting fixed.

A horrible desaster. 30fps with many effects missing or more than 60fps but still no effects and texture loading and the patch takes its time. Horrible.
But let me tell you sth.: these little cunts wanted my money and they got it. They got my money and they won't let me play properly. I mean plz 30fps is for consolewhores and 60fps with texturebugs and missing effects is for consolewhores as well. So let me fuck them hard!
