Based on the international blockbuster film by executive producer Steven Spielberg and the first of his films to be adapted for television, MINORITY REPORT follows the unlikely partnership between a man haunted by the future and a cop haunted by her past, as they race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065 before they happen.
Set in Washington, D.C., it is 10 years after the demise of Precrime, a law enforcement agency tasked with identifying and eliminating criminals…before their crimes were committed. To carry out this brand of justice, the agency used three precogs – “precognitives” Dash, Arthur and Agatha – who were able to see the future. Now, in 2065, crime-solving is different, and justice leans more on sophisticated and trusted technology than on the instincts of the precogs.
Precog DASH (Stark Sands, “Inside Llewyn Davis”) – driven by his terrifying, but fragmented visions – now has returned in secret to help a brash, but shrewd, police detective, LARA VEGA (Meagan Good, “Think Like A Man” franchise, “Californication”), attempt to stop the murders that he predicts.
As they navigate this future America, they will search for Dash’s missing twin brother, ARTHUR, and elude others who will stop at nothing to exploit their precog abilities. Also complicating matters is Dash and Arthur’s ingenious, but reclusive, foster sister, AGATHA (Laura Regan, “Mad Men,” “Unbreakable”), who just wants Dash to return home.
A drama of crime and conspiracy, this is a timeless story of connection: two lost souls, Dash and Vega, who find friendship, purpose and redemption in each other.
Looks 1000x better than Lucifer but still crap. These cringe worthy dialogues
why not just have a precog live life as he would want to
avoid everything and everyone doing awesome things
you can easily build a story around it
a precog wakes up seeing himself die and he can't avoid it, so he goes through life do everything he can and whatever knowing that he will not die on that day. making him pretty much invincible. and he becomes a hero. stopping crime, gambling, mind reading until he befriends a man who will someday kill him. "I like you, you'll end me!" will be the precogs lines. The guy will not know what's going on until series finale where he's forced to kill the precog.
it's pretty much a show about a man who can do whatever he wants
Fox went with the multicultural way (soe progressive), only picking detective Meagan Good who clearly can't act, but the real problem is, there's no atmosphere whatsoever, no tension, everything that made the movie unforgettable to begin with is lost.
Lighthearted soap tones, casual huehue talk, gangsta music while reconstructing the homicide, "peekaboo bitch!"
One episode was even too much for me, precogs have mercy.
Even DVR gains won’t be able to offset the slow start for new drama Minority Report. The series based on the Steven Spielberg movie opened with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. The futuristic drama has a strong name recognition but has not been received very well by critics and has largely failed to ignite sci-fi fans.
Canceled in 3, 2, 1..
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
For now they said the season is going to be limited to 10 episodes instead of 13+ as initially scheduled.

Not a really bad show but nothing new to see here..
It's like its repeating all the mistakes Almost Human made but without the Kennex/Dorian character chemistry.
And for the nth time it's the "police detective and consultant solve crimes procedural" formula.
Big network TV is just a bad place for Sci-Fi.
