Well it is funny when someone bases it on something tangible, he is mocked with how his proof is not 100% or that we don't know everything yet.
And while this is true... it doesn't help your case when all you use is feelings, suspicions and/or believes.
There is a big difference in believing in alien life, or even think we had visitors before... which I still find reasonable.
Compared to defending stupid blurry vids/pics and making it into a whole story while it's not even based on anything but your crappy eyes and brain that likes to make everything sensational.
Oh I certainly believe that we are not alone, and that most likely there are other advance races that are keeping an eye on us and most likely visited us often already.
Though I don't get it why it's so damn hard to get proper proof
But it's like that famous Japanese (or whatever Asian kind) dude once said "We don't go to the ants and give them nuclear tech.".
So the idea that we have to advance further (technological and social) and proof that we are worth space travel has to come first before they would make proper contact with us, is actually not unreasonable.
