What gets me, is it seems to be mostly florist, and fancy bakeries here in the US refusing the service for some reason...
Do they not realize thats a bad business practice as a soul food restaurant saying "no minorities served here!"
or BedBath & Beyond refusing to sell to gays.
I mean its fancy cupcakes, cakes, and flowers in expensive vases, who do they think their bread and butter is? The manly straight guys??

@Cyberia309
Even if that were true a company has the full right to persecute anyone they see fit as it's their business and the government shouldn't tell them what to do.

Real lack of professionalism, I noticed it in my other jobs tho... a lot of co-workers seemed to be unable to do their job properly if they don't like people.
I never had a problem with that, I even did my job as best as I could for individuals I disliked quite a bit. It's work, it's not friendship or anything else. Hell, I must even admit that I usually liked the more difficult cases since they brought challenges.

Jesus.. that's even worse.
"Fuck you fags, my god says I'm supposed to hate you, so not only will I not serve you.. but I'll also publicly release your personal information so everyone else can hate you too"
This is the same bakery that made the news a few months ago too, the last time they made a public spectacle about refusing to serve "teh gays", which had the "Christian" (the word comes from CHRIST, you motherfuckers, New Testament, love thy neighbour, you ignorant fucks) community rally around "Sweet Cakes" and raised $75k to reopen their store after it was shut down. Melissa doing TV talks and sobbing crocodile tears, claiming to be the one discriminated against

You realize that sounds just like the closed minded, bigotted people here in the US that use that exact same argument. Despite the majority of people not caring either way, or for gay equality, you hear all the time: "Sure it may be a law, but most true 'mericans hate the gays, and what they are doin' to our values. Law or not I aint following it!"
And I hope I read that in the wrong tone, it makes it sound like your bragging most people are against it. Not just stating it.

The law is the same for any kind of unequal treatment based on discrimination and it applies to sexual orientation.
You can go to courts over this where you have the right to demand compensation and for the offender to cease his discriminating practices.

Only in the most deranged of societies does the right of someone to force me bake a cake for him trump my right to run my business as I see fit. There is no "discrimination" there, unless one refers to the discrimination against human and religious rights of those opposing fag gestapo.

Again they arent forcing you to bake a cake..Thats what your business does. Now if you ran a hardware store, and demanded you make a cake and called you discriminatory because you wont, then I can see the problem. How is someone asking you to do, what you do, as a business daily "forcing you".
To me its really you saying "FINE FINE I'll do what I came to work and unlocked to doors to do anyway, since your forcing me".
Run your business how you like, your business is making cakes, then by all means make cakes! I dont see how them ordering, what you supply as forcing you outside what your business does or making you run it differently.

Lawyers are not cheap anywhere. Most would not bother with courts for the sake of some random offense in any other places either. It's the same situation - we are not special.
It doesn't even have anything to do with gay rights or discrimination - you will face the exact same issue with any civil law case.

There's also this:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/apr/25/sweet-cakes-christian-owned-bakery-gofundme-drive-/#ixzz3fUpbg1DJ
Quote: | A crowdfunding campaign that raised more than $109,000 for the Christian-owned bakery Sweet Cakes by Melissa in Oregon was removed Saturday after complaints from gay rights advocates.
The family will receive the money that was raised before the site was yanked, according to GoFundMe. In addition, Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian relief group headed by the Rev. Franklin Graham, launched a fundraising drive Friday to help the Kleins pay the damages award. |

The fact that I am making cakes does not mean I have to make a thousand cakes. I choose how many and what cakes I should make. I am not a slave to every person entering the store.

As I said before, the law explicitly states that denying access to services and purchase of goods based on ethnicity, race or skin color is considered discrimination and is illegal.
|
I'm not talking about the law, there are retarded laws passed around all around the world. On the other hand there is a case to be made that these people are denied the right to exercise their religion which is not hurting anyone (oh except the ever so sensitive lesbian fee fees)
Nope, first of all the source is " the blog Love, Joy and Feminism". Secondly there is entire ruling here: http://www.oregon.gov/boli/SiteAssets/pages/press/Sweet%20Cakes%20FO.pdf So one can judge for himself. The owner did post the first page of DOJ complaint letter on his facebook page, which at the time had a total of 17 friends. Ruling does not specify that the first page of the complaint had any personal information about the lesbo nazis, nor does it say that the action produced any negative effect. The owner also deleted the post the very same day. On the other hand, it were the lesbo nazis that organized protests outside of the owners store trying to get them to shut down. There is also a wealth of interesting info about the lesbos - the fact that they adopted some children after fighting the children's grandparents in court. How despicable is that? Obviously they are used to courts bowing down to the majestic wishes of homosexuals. Also the ruling says that their own extended families have come out in support of the Sweet cakes store owners, which is nice to hear. One of the lesbos aunts told her that he will shoot the bitch if she ever steps foot on her property, oh and the particular aunt owns all of that families property so its comforting to know that they ruined their own lives in the process.

Actually if you look at item 53 it says pretty clearly that they DID post the names and address of the couple on facebook. It also stated that the forum did not believe that the defendant "did not realize their names, phone numbers, and addresses were on the complaint when he posted them." But they said they believed the rest of his testimony.

I don't see how it's really part of the case, but yes they do seem to have an aunt. I don't know anything about their family dynamics but i'm sure we all have crazy family members in our respective family trees. I also know plenty of gay friends who have a relative who doesn't like them due to religion. Hell, my best friend and his fiance [who is a woman btw] can't get married yet because her mother is a baptist and she doesn't want them married because he is a non-practicing Catholic... And they've been together for 10 years now..Just sad when religion (any religion) gets in the way of love.
