http://blog.talesofgame.com/en/japan-expo-zestiria-collectors-edition-revealed-pre-order-bonus-symphonia-for-pc-and-more/

Symphonia HD for PC confirmed as well, now we just need Vesperia as well god i hope they make this happen.
Don't really care for Symphonia HD tbh since it's based on the inferior ps2 version and not the GC version so it's still better to play that in dolphin.
It's cool they give it out as a preorder bonus for zestiria though (atleast if enough people preorder but i doubt that will be a problem)

Yeah, hope they keep the momentum going and announce a PC port of their next tales game:

And yes, i'd still love to see a port of Tales of Grace and Xillia too Very Happy

It’s now time to talk about the framerate; all versions of Tales of Zestiria will run at a constant 30 frames per second. Before you run off to the comment section, hear us out! The Tales of battle system has always been an integral part of the gameplay experience, and changing the framerate proved to have profound consequences on things like: animation, balance, difficulty, and overall fighting mechanics tuning. We do this in the best interest for the players’ experience!

*sigh*

"We do this in the best interest for the players’ experience!"

No. 30fps is not good for anyone's experience except the laziness of the developer. Oh well, I guess there's nothing anyone can do about it... the staggering number of derps and apologist cunts out there have now made gaming a toxic hobby for people with standards. Now everyone is forced to either accept shovelled shite, or walk away. Well I'm not buying it. Fuck them.

It's kind of ironic considering that many of the other Tales of games run at 60 FPS in battles.

Well they could make it 60 but the 30fps is something deeply ingrained in the engine. 60fps will probably double the speed. I'm sure it'll manage to hit 60fps fine, but won't be playabale lol.

I hope people will complain so they'll realize to drop the antiquated method they're using. Use ticks guys, not some weird fps thing.

I'd do it but I'm too lazy to sign up to their blog to comment. And I haven't beaten a tales game since Tales of Destiny 2. Not the actual legit sequel to Tales of Destiny, but the one with this squirrel that kept going QUICKY! QUICK! QUICKY! and the alien lady who kept acquiescing to the squirrel's requests for sex.

BIG FREAKING DEAL IF ITS 30FPS the game is awesome, THE 30FPS isn't really a noticeable thing anyhow.. i play games with 60FPS and 30FPS i don't see any differences and also a ACTION RPG doesn't need to be 60FPS .. freaking 30FPS is good .. and its the first port of tales of' game so give them a break man.. if people not gonn a pre-order due to that.. that is a really stupid thing man.. and if people gonna REFUND their game because it doesn't reach reward 3 that is also stupid.

You want more tales of' games you got to show support.. with the ignorance of this bloody community NO WONDER JRPG are not being ported to PC because of you bratty kids that need to whine about everything.. if i was a developer for games i go freaking mental just hearing you babies blah blah blah waaa waa about stupid S H I T !

Well it's the Steam forums, nowadays that image seems applicable to nearly every second topic on there, strange how it's not moderated better but eh I guess 100.000K+ or so posters would take a lot of moderator and administrator work plus being temporarily banned from only part of the forum isn't much of a punishment anyway for those that troll every community page of games they absolutely hate but somehow have to get involved with anyway.
(Criticism isn't bad per say but outright flaming or insulting other users or the developers is becoming a daily thing it seems.)

I want to pre-order this for the bonus game. Personally I don't care care about the 60fps issue. It's not a fps game and I can live with a 30fps in this sort of game. I like the story in tales games, the graphics are always secondary to me on these occasions.

Reward tiers are rigged, mate. They can make them go as fast or as slow as they want.

Yeah, unfortunately western devs don't make complex, deep RPGs anymore. You either get story focused RPG-lite games with great presentation (like, say, TW3) or semi-casual kickstarter RPGs that you beat in 10 hours.

Too bad about the kiddie graphics and spiky hair characters but you can't have it all.

That and I assume that if in comparison the first two reward tiers required a few hundred sales (Also makes it look like it goes up faster for those monitoring the reward progress.) this third tier being more valuable will require thousands of pre-orders before it unlocks.

EDIT: I expect the same for the upcoming Deus Ex game too, doubt they'll just unlock it four days early without a significant investment or how to say.

DA3 was a real RPG (not RPG-lite like TW3), but other than that you're right :\

It's the same old chestnut with jappo devs: using the frame counter to time game logic. They still live in the fucking NES/SNES era... really absurd to program a game this way in this day and age.

You can question whether it was a good one, but I think that it being an RPG is simply a matter of fact, sorry.

But anyway let's not derail this thread further.
