it's a german band using german lyrics, so i don't really think it's his kind of music anyway.

But his comment was more trolling then anything anyway, i guess.

They sound good, punk rock sort of stuff. Bit hard to relate because of the German lyrics.

I like In Extremo, but somehow never connected to Onkelz. They always were the preferred band of a special kind of people here.

the special kind of neonazi and grauzone groups, who will always argue about it not being a right-wing band.
and yet, if you listen to some of the older onkelz songs, from the 80s for example, the lyrics are unmistakable Razz

I consciously tried to avoid the subject. Razz

it's usually because of people being bad informed and read some badly researched article done by idiots.

But really not want to explain this yet again to someone who really doesn't care about it anyway and is stuck in their "beliefs" rofl.

yes i know they split up once, and yes i know apparently they changed their views and image in the early 90s, but then why not make a completely new band and instead still carry on the same name that used to be one of the most influential rechtsrock band of the 80s?
if you want to distance yourself from something, you wont still keep the same bandname and expect people to believe you changed.

But they are in my opinion Smile good musicians making songs that atleast to me are pretty dull. But then again - each and everyone has different taste Smile

Its a band the polarizes and it always will.

They will always carry a bad aftertaste to me, remembering exactly who were the Onkelz-fans back in the days and how those people behaved here. Its funny since normally I like the kind of music.

But yeah nice pics Sin. I was at the RaR this year and it was exceptionally great fun (and decadence) aswell, except for the 33 people that got injured during the lightning storm.
