Yeah well badly picked....this is just a regular scene with a motherfucker and his gun and a few enemies in front of his machinegun (two way meaning). It either looks at least decent or like a real pile of poop and I'd rather stick my face in fresh poop than in this level.
But in the near future we will see some better and worse looking screens and vids I am sure.

looks good to me in the vids. guns seem to be nice and weighty, levels are id brown, just the way I like it. there's gore, no health regen, and the engine used should mean good performance for all.
Hopefully they do playtest the game with m+kb though. I'd hate to play it with a gamepad because enemies take 3 days to react to cater to derps.

The demo wasn't impressive at all. I expected much better gameplay.
Seemed slow and generic. AI on those mobs was fucking stupid, basically staying in one place, or barely moving, waiting for the player to zap them.

I don't agree that it's slow or that it's slow ebcause of consoles... cod is very fast games on consoles. So is wolfenstein.
And doom4 is much faster than doom3.
Nothing can get as fast as doom1 or 2. Rise of the tried done that and it was like 90miles per hour stupid fast.
Doom4 was shown with a controller and kinda scripted deliverate camera movement. It will be faster with mouse.
But well... thats my opinion and I am the only person on earth who loved thes shit out of the gameplay and I am hyped tho it's not jaw dropping (aka gunplay looks only ok for now)

Brutal Doom can be played with "3D aiming" with a mouse, btw.
