Will wait for some real gameplay in good quality before judging. Can't be bothered watching some highly compressed shit that is played by some fucker with a gamepad

Frankly, I'm quite hyped.
I don't care much about the graphical jack-offery or the fact it has controller support (it's 2015, games nowadays have controller support, get over it), I'm just glad we're getting a big budget "good ol' shooter".
It seems the old style shooters are a dying breed these days. Other than the excellent "Wolfenstein: the new order" (which was more than a year ago) I can't recall the last "pure shooter" I played and enjoyed. It seems every shooter now is either a COD-clone (limited arsenal, regenerating health, cover system and all that bullshit) or feels the need to "masquerade" itself by adding rpg-elements, survival-elements, crafting, stealth elements, sandboxing with side-quests, etc... frankly I missed a triple-a fps that is JUST an fps. Bring it on I say!

"Guy's! Everybody LOVED the Doom3 alpha! But the game that we delivered later on was a bit repetetive and people complained a lot. Let's remove anything that made the alpha great, like suspense & horror, and let's add stupid enemies, execution animations and STEROID EVERYTHING! Yeah, let's make the chanisaw REALLY REALLY FAT!"
It looks like Gears of War, first person without cover. Because obviously you don't need any cover as these enemies are stupid as shit.
"HE HAS A CHAINSAW, LET'S JUST RUN STRAIGHT INTO HIM FROM NOW ON!!"

No, I'm replaying the old dooms with brutal doom right now and you have to go behind walls, evade projectiles, especially on the highest difficulty setting, which I'm playing on.
You are not a bullet sponge and every enemy can kill you. Also in the old dooms you are MUCH faster. I don't necessarily want the old doom with new graphics anyway. Those games are just perfect as they are, they don't really need any better graphics or realistic graphics, brutal doom is perfectly fine for that.
What I would've wanted would be a game JUST LIKE the doom3 alpha, but maybe in a Doom II setting, so Hell on Earth! (and of course a bit of space/space station sections)
F.e. Hell Breaks out on Phobos, you fight yourself to a small escape ship with other survivors. But evil made it's way on the ship and kills everybody, you escape with intense fights into a small pod and head toward earth to discover that at the same time evil is destroying earth too... then you go through the portal into their realm to end this. Something in that line...
Not: Industrial Zone 1. Industrial Zone 2. Go back to Industrial Zone 1. Advance to Industrial Zone 4. And everywhere just stupid imps being spawned in or enemies just standing there and waiting for you to get shot.

Well there is still a big possibility you have to evade them fuckers on the highest difficulty. The trailer just wants to lure the console players into the trap and I'm sure that works perfectly! That's all they want.
Later on we get some more info on some stuff maybe you will fucking enjoy!

You a console slave? Shooting like that without a story and shit must be boring after 30 min (or secs?!).

I loved the trailer and I am hyped
Graphics are awesome, guns too.
But while punching demon in the face or splitting him in half look great... Those animations already started to be repetitive in the gameplay video. And oneshot kills will ruin the game. Could be optional fatalities. As for the chainsaw? Well it have to be one shot kill but this looked too easy to do.
But man. Space marine, futuristic base, demons. Fuck yeah. Looks at least better than wolfenstein whi I didnt really liked

I love how there's loads of people going "yay good old shooter without bullshit". Excuse me?
What I see is a Crysis rip-off set in the Doom universe. There's nothing old school about the ridiculous jumps or the executions (during which you are no doubt completely invulnerable). And that chainsaw is just...Doom 1 did that better. The recent Wolfenstein games are much more old school than this at first sight. Get rid of the nanosuit, the executions and show us that on the PC we won't be forced to use a bullshit radial wheel to select shit, then I might give a crap.

Controller support isnt the issue. Accomodating gameplay to controllers, the lower, is. And why should anyone "get over" bad gameplay?

Do you guys actually play brutal doom?!
They present this game where they use the shotgun as long range weapon! In brutal doom you play with a rifle, take the shotgun only in close combat and each gun has a nice wham and kickback. Here that guy is just shooting the shotgun as if it is a small pea-shooter. And the gibbing in brutal doom looks better

Brutal Doom is absolutely fantastic, truly fantastic in every way. It takes what made Doom Doom and makes it Doomier. This goddamn travesty is, as you rightly said, a first-person Gears of War. People might think I'm being too critical, and they're dead wrong.
I'm not being critical enough.
This is fucking DOOM! This is the Platinum standard for fast-paced monster-slaying FPS titles. It's the granddaddy, we should be holding any game bearing the "Doom" name to the same pedigree. It shouldn't be just "okay", it shouldn't be some Gears of Brown slow-ass controller shooter made for morons, it should be DOOM. The way I feel about what Doom (notice how it's not Doom 4 anymore? "reboot all teh thingz!") now is how ardent Quake fans felt about Quake 4. I've recently played through all of Doom, all of Doom 2, all of the extra "No Rest for the Living" Doom 2 sequel, and they were fantastic. 30 years later and they're every bit as playable, every bit as challenging, every bit as rewarding. You had to manage your health and your ammo because once the pickups were gone, they were gone, you had to fight against DOZENS of enemies at once. The levels were equal parts bright and clear.. and dark and gloomy.
.... now look at where we are. 2-3 SLOW enemies on screen, brown shit smeared visuals, free ammo and health everytime you kill someone because Ritalin-doped console derpas go into shock if they're forced to use their brain.
.... and people are CHEERING.
