I don't know about the game (as in: would I enjoy playing it), I just think it looks gorgeous
So most likely have to demo it first, because it seems a bit silly to get it just for the looks.
(fucking kindergarten and I bet you are in your late 20s)
You're fucking in Kindergarten? That's disgusting

True, will see how it pans out upon release
Was all geared up, then I read 2016..damn it Time to activate the patience_mode deluxe.
Death's Gambit will release on August 14, 2018 for Steam and PS4!
Death's Gambit is a hardcore 2D action platformer with rich RPG elements. Master the precise combat, utilizing a wide variety of weapons and abilities to confront the horrors that lurk deep within Siradon. Explore a mysterious and unforgiving world to uncover the true price of immortality. Embrace the challenge of being an agent of Death.
To answer our most frequently asked question: Yes Death's Gambit has a non-linear metroidvania style world. After the first level you get to a central area where you can access many different levels. After the first boss you have a choice of tackling one of 5 different bosses.
I've finished ~80-85% of the game and decided to take a break.
It has too many bugs.
It's a good game and I liked it, but you should wait for a patch or two before playing it.
Agreed, after my character disappeared from the screen when remapping keys and was later thrown down the abyss multiple times by invisible forces whilst fighting the floating Tundra Lord I decided that it was time to halt the playthrough.
It's a good game indeed though, doesn't have the complexity of its main inspiration of course but it is a competent 2D Pixel Souls with beautiful art-style, stamina management/positioning, reasoned combat and decent level design with trademark shortcuts and secrets. Definitely deserves to be played, just...not in the current state*.
