@Interinactive Hrmm... I wonder if borderless fullscreen could be affecting the fps.

When I just walk up next to my horse it kills my fps.

Edit: That was it! Changed to fullscreen with hairworks on and now get a full solid 60fps!

Cool. Thanks. Very Happy

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Got my second 970 this morning and now the slight stuttering has gone. Get mostly 60fps with everything maxed, except hairworks and AA off. I guess I would need a third card for hairworks . Still get the occasional drops to 45fps but it's more like every 10 minutes instead of every 1 or 2.

This game is so fucking unoptimised it is unreal.

That's on 1080p?

@sabin1981: did you figure out what option to choose if you don't have WItcher 2 saves?

Haven't gotten that far into the game yet but the way I read it it has to be the on setting for that option, off would mean it does a default world state, importing a W2 save is pretty much self explanatory and then on means you get to simulate a Witcher 2 save via a series of questions later on during the prologue. Smile

Thanks JB, so I should choose "on". So what is meant by "simulate save"? I thought that was the one which lets you tweak world state via convo.

Is there any way to see in my Witcher 2 save file what choices I made? I have two, but I don't remember which one is what Sad If there's no way, I'm going to take the convo made.

Anyone tried with Ultra + Hairworks on 980 @1080? Does it run constant 40+ ?

Have not been able to try yet due to work.

If anyone has the problem with the game freezing in inventory I managed to solve it by disabling controller vibration. Really weird bug.

Combat is fucking awful, exploration is badly done and it's a really shitty port.

Your typical AAA garbage.

Idk what happens with this game, in movement, the game is good looking (except for vegetation, which blows at least on high settings). But every screenshot i take looks horrible Laughing
Gfx-wise i still think DA:I is better. As for the gameplay/story this is prolly better, but im still at the start so don't have an opinion formed yet.

The fact that not a single review or preview I saw mentions how the controls are a bit wonky and delayed reaffirms that the gaming press is made up of a bunch of mouth breathing retards.. but I guess that's nothing new Rolling Eyes

..i think ive just had a rather frustrating and annoying realisation...

it there any reason to explore in this game? it LOOKS like (at least at the moment) that every interesting thing (sidequest, nice new weapon/armor/treasure) gets an "?" mark on the map to lead me straight to it... has anyone come across interesting things NOT marked on the map? have they realised too late that they made the world TOO big that they NEEDED to lead us to the interesting things?

The derpification kills the exploration again.

Remember when you had to follow npc instructions to find things? Sad

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
