They made it a standalone release when it's not even the last DLC. Facepalm

Will grab P2P this time.

Chapter 3 (this DLC consists of Chapters 3 & 4) was again 95% stealth.

And the enemy encounters were very few and very easy.

Let's see if the final Chapter will bring back some proper combat. Poker Face

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Ha! So it's time for me to delete the ISO and pretend that these remaining DLCs don't exist xD. The first disappointing one and its awkward (bad) "direction" was already enough. To the nopemachine!

I almost finished Chapter 4 (I can tell because I am missing just the last fragment of the letter) and I just now! got a weapon!! So it's safe to say Chapter 4 is also at least 80% stealth.. I'll finish it tomorrow but my impression of it is: meh.

At least it was nice in the first DLC to get a better understanding of the main game's story. This time, not so much.. the tone is inconsistent.. One moment poor Ruvik, the other fuck off Ruvik.. Jimenez is good / bad randomly (I think that they tried to make it like he turned bad gradually but te chronology is whatever).. Kidman just now learned that Sebastian lost his child and wife.. WTF?! And so on.

I don't have high hopes for the last Keeper DLC, which will probably end up being something closer to challenge rooms etc rather than focused on the narrative.

I finished it, I didn't like the writing and I sat through the credits and the writer is also "The American" Poker Face

For those that won't play it but want to stay up to date in case a sequel is announced the biggest revelation is:

It's like they took the most annoying parts of the game and then made the DLCs.

Stupid Stealth? Check
Running around in circles from invincible enemy? Check
More running around in circles from invincible enemy? Check
Unlimited ammo section where you can't move and have to shoot enemies like Rambo? Check
Not one but two chase scenes where all you do is run cinematically? Check

Come to think of it, the only good thing was the final boss fight. Better than that "final fight" we got in the main game.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

the game is good and perfect balanced, those are your complaints and are utter horseshit. game is a survival horror and not some painkiller cod run with guns blazing.

Make up your mind on what you have to say. First you call it cinematic dlc and then call it survival horror. Resident Evil 1/2/3 was survival horror and Resident Evil 4 was action horror, this is a poor imitation that tries to be both Resident Evil 1 and Resident
Evil 4 at the same time, failing at both.

The broken stealth of the game can't be considered stealth at all unless you're one of the few who think AC is a stealth game.

your avatar pic does you justice, i said GAME as in main game and not dlc

like i said the game is perfectly balanced. the broken stealth is good for what it is, the game isnt a stealth game in the first place so you dont need stealth like in hitman or whatever and finish the game only by stealth

LOL Aww Yeah

It's cool that you liked the game but what can't be ignored is that the entire problem was that it tried to do too many
things at once and it blew apart.

The main reason why I especially name-dropped RE1 and RE4 were because they are games that everyone remembers even more than a
decade after they released and we are getting remasters/mods for them even now.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for TEW. It had a huge amount of potential going for it but it was wasted.
Even worse because it came from Shinji Mikami, the guy behind RE.

It's quite a shame because the first half of chapter 5 is the best introduction I've ever seen to an enemy in a game.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

truth be said... who remembers re1 and re4? old people, because old people are....old, yes.

these days developers can't make a game for certain kind of people, they have to mainstream it so yeah, tew can't be like the old resident evil games, you want your game to be played by many people as possible

but that being said, in my opinion, with all the missed oportunities and all other thigs, i still consider tew one of the best survival horror of these past years. you can clearly see that a lot of offort has been put into it, unlike many games.

Exactly what I think about this game, kinda like they tried to make it survivor horror like the old REs, with the modern REs gameplay, but the result was a schizophrenic mess that tried to be both, but failed at it, like you said.

Or maybe I was playing it "wrong"? Stealth sucked, but it felt like it was the way it's meant to be played?
I mean, just for the fact that the game has a crouch button and stealth kills, seemed to me like it was the intended way to play it.

Not at all, I'm just afraid of your warped view on being old... you do know that most of us in developed countries get to 80 and up right
So I'm not even halfway atm
