A new half-hour dark comedy series, The Brink focuses on a geopolitical crisis and its effect on three disparate and desperate men: Walter Larson (played by Tim Robbins), the US Secretary of State; Alex Talbot (Jack Black), a lowly Foreign Service officer; and Zeke Tilson (Pablo Schreiber), an ace Navy fighter pilot. These three compromised souls must pull through the chaos around them to save the planet from World War Three. The show also features Aasif Mandvi, Maribeth Monroe, Carla Gugino and Eric Ladin.

Wonderful first episode. The ending had me rollin'!

It's a bit like "Spies like us" kind of comedy - inappropriate people in inappropriate situations.
I found "Ambassadors" much funnier than this but it was only one episode so we will see how this will develop.

Kinda lost it's charm for me with the latest episode. Only the premiere made me laugh out loud, every ep after keeps me waiting for the humour that never comes
One more episode and it's over. It will have a second season, so it's okay. Still, part of me wanted a wee bit more.
Seen some reviews that made me laugh as much as the show itself. One reviewer accused the show of pro-Israel propoganda (shows how much he watched the series). Another was upset of the depiction of Islamabad. And of course we had the upset americans
I honestly didn't find Jack Black's character along with his native driver all that funny. That said, the Zeke and Jammer dynamic is just pure gold! "No bitches for Carl!"

All Z & J stuff is clearly an homage to Hot Shots 1 & 2 my favorite movies from when I was a kid
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
I'm really glad that I started watching this show, I'm definitely having a good time. Solid satirical humor without overdoing it, great acting and characters, not an easy combo to have these days.
