Ah Tages (Third party DRM system, Star-Force kinda.), oh that's a real hassle even compared to SecuROM, thankfully both are mostly dead now and instead digital platforms like Steam have taken over the DRM systems.
(And you have to email SecuROM and go through various hops to get them to revoke the license so you can activate again so Tages can be quite annoying from what I remember, not many games used it really.)

They really should patch that shit out (Switch the game to the new UPlay system.) but I guess that won't happen anytime soon.
(Settlers 7 I believe is also the last game stuck on the old UPlay activation system for whatever reason and NONE of the older games use the new downloader/installer method which really should be added to those games but EA is the same with Origin so I also don't see that changing anytime soon.)

Oohhh, I had already forgotten AGAIN that I haven't finished the last missions of main campaign.

This is more city builder than rts. The combat is very basic and not the big attraction. But if you want to build a great city on an island with a lot of supply and demand stuff, this is the game for that.

Anno is great, the chain of supply and how it all works and relates is greattt, a lot of that Settlers feeling is there, And yes it is challenging to keep the later levels of the city up and running.

That's the only uPlay game I own, mostly because I love the series.
But I was prompted 3 times to enter my key prior to be allowed to play Laughing

It's an excellent game and if you need your brain to hurt, this will do the trick.

Edit: Quit the game, and it crashes. Of course it does. It also says my key is in use every time it asks for it, despite the fact that I've played it fine before on the same account.

Edit2: I see sin had the same error at the top of the page. Is there a fix for this bullshit that doesn't involve jumping through long winded stupid fucking hoops?


in my case it was actually user error lol. I have several uplay accounts and i used the wrong one Smile

so, bought a key for deep water addon, but i think i already did that lol (by the looks of it). So anyway, i've a spare key for it (possibly).
