Their PR campaigns for Kojima games are still coming out of the woodwork even after his name was trashed.
It's gathering so much negative buzz, people abandoning ship... hating on konami... not buying MGS5 new only used... that once it's reversed and HK is back... game will sell.
It's quite brilliant. If it were such a big issue... MGS5 would not be coming out.
Yeah I've seen videos of the demo, and it was good and all but it's still just another console game. So long as they haven't announced it for PC, it's a console game and nothing else.
And yeah, I love the Silent Hill games but I'm not going to buy these new consoles to play another one, no matter how good it might have become.

i'm not sure who owns it, nobody is aside from konami/kojima. it's so unclear at the moment but obviously there's a real war going on and i can't see kojima spending 5 years on an engine when he knows he's gonna leave/get pushed out. he's been on and off with konami since mgs2.

Besides, I'm done paying for old console games ported to the PC. We have more than enough PC games coming out every year nowadays that I feel no need for these late ports of questionable quality. I'm fine with multiplatform games (as long as they're reasonably ported) but they better release it at the same time on the PC or have a very good reason for not doing so. But this whole announce for consoles, release for consoles and then announce for PC after already having been developing it for a long time is a practice they can fuck the right off with.

If anything, this Silent Hills Stillbirth saved us from some cheesy internet petitions, anger and drama as usually happens, as well the feeling of being treated like third world criminals for months until we can finally obtain the official right to be forcefully grateful and thankful #4eva.

If anything, Konami at least LICENSED it for spoken games so they are nowhere close to being fucked at all.

Silent Hills wasn't officially announced for any platform, not even PS4 (although it would be without a doubt released on that).
Likewise the game hasn't been officially cancelled until Konami say so, but if the people behind its inception are not going to work on it, then even if it's made it won't be Silent Hills.

im legitimately sad if this thing gets canned. After playing and loving alien isolation, this game looked like just the kind of horror that ive discovered i quite like, and after watching the playable trailer thing on youtube, id been HOPING that it'd eventually make it to pc (and perhaps even be a good port) so that I could play it.
hope its not permanently dead. it looked like a game i REALLY wanted to play.
